HYROX: DONE. 🏁🔥

This race felt different. I felt stronger, more confident and so much more comfortable out there. All the training, early mornings and questionable life choices were worth it 😂

Huge shoutout to my coaches @keegz____ & @lisafuller21 for getting me here and pushing me to become stronger than I thought I could be.

And to my amazing HYROX partner, @rs200478 , you were incredible. Couldn’t have asked for a better teammate. 🤍

And finally, to my friends, @rehanag25 @samthomas_st @nazleyfrieslaar who came out to support me: you’re ALL legendary. Seeing your faces out there meant more than you know. 🥹🫶🏽

I couldn’t have got here without the coaching, rehab and support from a some amazing humans! Race day may be a solo event but Hyrox is a team sport!

To my Hyrox coach @keegz____ thank you for all the time, guidance and adjustments to get me to race day. I couldn’t have done this without you!

@marshallkirsty my forever PT you have strengthened me yet again and rehabbed me safely through yet another injury! Your knowledge and ability to get my body to work is priceless.

My inner dialogue during burpees: “I wanna beer😭 I want an ice cream sandwich. I wanna take a nap.” 🤣

Burpees just hit different. There’s no faking it through these, your brain WILL try to negotiate with you mid-rep.

Nearly didn’t post this. The first thing my brain clocked was the jiggle jiggle - not the PB. Not the weight on that bar. Just that.

And for a second I forgot (and reminded myself) that fit bodies don’t have a cookie cutter look. That strength doesn’t come in one shape. That fitness culture has spent years telling us otherwise.

But I caught it. And I’m posting anyway. Because this body just lifted something heavy and that’s the whole point. Health and fitness is a FEELING that looks different on every body!
