Our public lands belong in public hands. They are one of the last things we the people have left. Remember what they’ve been trying to do over the last two years and hold them accountable. 🇺🇸

On June 3, the Muley Fanatic Foundation team traveled to The Nature Conservancy’s Red Canyon Ranch outside of Lander to take part in the Keep It Public Steering Committee retreat.
The committee, made up of conservation organizations from across Wyoming, is focused on one shared goal: protecting public lands and keeping them in public hands.
Throughout the day, the group discussed what Keep It Public has done well over the past year, areas for improvement, current and future threats to public lands, and goals for the next several years.
It was a great day in a beautiful Wyoming setting, working alongside incredible people and organizations committed to protecting the public lands that mean so much to our state

Wyoming is the nation’s tenth-largest state as well as its least populated. Nearly half our state is federal public land, which adds up to tens of millions of acres (not to mention more than $2 billion annually in recreation-generated revenue) that can be enjoyed by all.

How we care for these lands today will shape who gets to enjoy them tomorrow. At next weekend's AlpinFilm, join climbers, skiers, paddlers, wilderness advocates and conservation champions in a discussion of how we can align our love for our public lands and waters with strategies to protect them.

Tune in at the Center for the Arts or virtually online. Learn more here: tetonclimbers.com/alpinfilm. #LovetheLand #NotForSale

The Six Word Love Letter Project is a simple way to speak up for the public lands and waters we love. Write a love letter to your favorite public land or water using just six words. Pair it with a photo, then share it on Instagram using #LoveTheLand and #NotForSale. Entries will be shared publicly and selected love letters will appear on screen during AlpinFilm. One entry will be selected to receive $1,000.

You do not need to be present to win, but we recommend coming to enjoy the festival, which this year includes films, panels, and a writers workshop centered on public lands.

It’s been a while since I just went for a walk with a shotgun in my hands. God Bless Public Lands.

What do all of these photos have in common? They were taken on National Forest lands at grave risk of losing protections as a result of the proposed Roadless Rule Recission, along with tens of millions of acres on other forests.

Those in power are consumed by greed, putting short lived extraction over the conservation of public lands for the future, and most haven’t spent a day in any of these places. So it’s time that we the people to stand up for our lands, water, and wildlife. Call your delegation. Hold those that would do our forests harm accountable. Submit your public comment on the Federal Register about proposed rescission (link in bio).

What do you think? Should we ask @stevenrinella to join us in our efforts to get Senator Barrasso and Lummis to remove the sale of our public lands from the reconciliation bill on June 26th at 6pm at the Wyoming State Capitol? @meateater has great resources to learn about the public lands grab under consideration in DC right now.

Don’t forget, you can call Senators Barrasso and Lummis right now and tell them our public lands aren’t for sale and ask them to remove the amendment that puts them at risk. Reach Barrasso at (202) 224-6441 and Lummis at (202) 224-3424.

🚨 RED ALERT: Senators want to sell off 2 million+ acres of YOUR public lands, including here in Wyoming.

The next few days are critically important. Please call @sencynthialummis and Sen. John Barrasso and tell them to OPPOSE public land sales. (202) 224-3121.
