✨Mini-Vlog✨

Had the best time yapping together over a 12 foot skeleton 🤪 We visited The Yard in McKinney, TX for some themed drinks, eats, and hangs! Excited for our next read together!

💬: Looking at my neighbor’s 12 foot skeleton a little differently nowadays 😂 Hbu?

✨September Wrap-Up✨

Such a busy but fun month! Visited Banff and hiked for the first time, attended fun book events and hosted book club, and also enjoyed my other hobbies! I was also able to finish 6 books this month! I haven’t done a reread in a while but the ones that I did reread I loved! September, you were so good to me! And I’m even more excited for what’s in store for October!

💬: What was your September highlight?

✨Threshing Day Midnight Release Party✨

Had a great time with Kerri, Gabby, and Jackie at @bibliobartx last night celebrating the release of Threshing Day! I started it this morning and already know I’ll be binging the rest of it tonight!

If you’re in the DFW area make sure to go check out Bibliobar! They are also opening their new space soon and it’s gorgeous! #supportlocalbusiness

Thoughts post Verity screening: I think if you’re a fan of the book you’re gonna enjoy this movie! Overall, I really enjoyed it, were there things from the book I wish had made it into the film? Of course! But I felt it was a good and true to the book adaptation!

And if you haven’t read the book but enjoy a good thriller then I think this movie is also for you!

✨DOB w/ The Girls✨

It’s always a great time with these girls and @panpanbakeryandcafe 😍 Of course we had to visit for the fall seasonal drinks with our fall fits and books! Pan pan never misses so if you’re in the DFW area you absolutely must check it out!

💬: Which drink would you order?!

✨Book Club Mini-Vlog✨

Had such a great time co-hosting with @jothy.yoga 🥰 I I love tea parties and themed activities! I made a version of MASH to go along with The Knave and The Moon and was so happy to get Bartholomew as my ally 😍 Using songs that remind me of the book I’m reading is one of my favorite things to do and this song is Turn To Stone by Ingrid Michaelson! Highly recommend listening to it!

Also, surprise! I just posted yesterday that I was at 40% before book club and I instantly went home and binged the rest and finished the book! My girls weren’t kidding about how great the ending was 🥹 The rating remained the same but I absolutely loved how this story came to a close! What another wonderful word created by Rachel Gillig! Can’t wait for her next one!

💬: What songs do you think of when you think of this book?

•The Knave and the Moon 🌕•

Absolutely love this series! Literally give me anything Rachel Gilling writes and I will eat it up!! A very satisfying conclusion to the duology. The stonewater kingdom is such a beautiful world and I loved discussing it and having a spot of tea with these beautiful ladies ❤️

Special shoutout to @coziwithricki and @jothy.yoga for planning such an amazing tea party yap sesh 💖

✨Ch 2 of Plot & Pour BC✨

📖: The Knave and the Moon
Hosted by me and my co-host, Jothy

Even though I hosted, I will be completely honest and say I only read 40% of the book because I decided to do a reread of The Knight and the Moth right before and ran out of time! BUT after everyone spilled the tea (😉) during discussion, SPOILER-FREE mind you, I just know know I’ll be finishing this book ASAP! I MUST know how things turn out for Bartholomew, my favorite side character of all time! I will update this post with my review once I finish the book!

On a sappy side note, I haven’t hosted a book club in quite some time because I reached a point earlier this year where I just wasn’t in the best head space but over the last couple of months these girls reignited that passion and I locked in for my annual tea party 🙂‍↕️ Very grateful for good books and even better company!

💬: Have you read this book yet?
