Finally filmed on the Sony FX5 this weekend and I’m super excited! 📸🎥

1. Spent the weekend with Sony Pro Support connecting with other creatives, learning about new technology and documenting moments to look back on later.
2. Captured unit stills on my RX1RIII (story on that one later).
3. VSCO did the finishing touches on my images and a few of these are portfolio-worthy.
4. Above all else, having the right people in the room got me inspired all over again and reignited my fire to see things in new ways.

What would you create first on the FX5? 👀🧟‍♀️

This is Creative HQ. 🎬 The best way to explain it is to let the students tell you.

Watching @deemeg817 and @mr.megara05 grow through these experiences — as filmmakers, as collaborators, and as a mother-and-son team — is one of the reasons I love doing this.

Getting people around other creatives. Getting them onto real sets. Giving them opportunities to experiment, make things, meet incredible people and discover what they’re capable of.

That’s Creative HQ.

And none of it happens alone.

A huge thank you to @dagoodman13, my producing partner on every show Dee and Alex have been involved in. So much of what we’ve been able to create for our students simply would not be possible without David. And a big thank you to @notacopla.

And a very special thank you to @joeweldon1. Joe is the reason I had the pleasure of meeting Dee and Alex in the first place, and he was one of the first people to sponsor them as Creative HQ students. I’ll always be grateful for that.

Thank you to @atlaslensco for supporting the program and putting an incredible set of anamorphic lenses in our hands, and to @keleneke for always being so helpful and supportive with our cameras.

Thank you as well to @pacificdinoguy, @chrisjclancy, @m.l.greth, @k_morris__official, @avetik_mkhitarian, @backtothefutureig, and everybody who has opened a door, stepped onto a set, shared their experience, or helped make one of these opportunities possible.

That community is Creative HQ.

Come create with us.

Testing @rawelementslensco massive nipporama lens on a teeny-tiny @sonycine FX5. Camera and lens combo packs a punch! 4K S35 hits the spot for this anamorphic lens. Nice to get the result right out of the camera without having to crop the image.

Thank you to @imagenfound for this honor, and congrats to the entire @milesawaymovie cast and crew. Who’d a thunk a film made on a whim with spit, grit and gall would crawl as far as it has?

This movie was created by people who believed in it long before anyone else did and I’m endlessly grateful. Danke. Gracias. Merci. Grazie. Obrigada. Takk. Shukran. Spasibo. Mamnoon. Toda. And on and on. 🥹🙏🏻❤️

Congratulations to my fellow nominees. Honored to be in such amazing company.
