Meet the coach! Hi, I’m Kelley 👋
I gave birth in March 2025, and had my share of surprises and interruptions in what i thought would be my #fitgirlpregnancy . (Read more on that at @the.mothership.collective ) More than anything, I learned that informed coaching matters during this season. In addition to my natural curiosity and passion for fitness, I am certified by @brianna.battles of @pregnant.postpartum.athlete . This means that I put in the hours to learn the specifics behind what our bodies are doing during pregnancy and postpartum, common symptoms and experiences, and how to help YOU continue your fitness journey feeling capable and empowered through motherhood.
Your athletic life doesn’t end when you get pregnant or have a baby. In fact, I believe that we can have the time of our lives if we just give our bodies the TLC they need.
There is nothing that lights me up more than the idea of bringing the tools that I’ve learned to the gritty mountain women of this community, and helping us all to feel strong and powerful raising the next generation.
So come and see me, we’re just getting started

What happens when a self-proclaimed mountain hardo becomes a mom... and “getting back” no longer feels like the right goal?

For @kell.benntt, pregnancy brought an early ego check. The fit-girl pregnancy she envisioned was replaced by pain, unexpected limitations, and the realization that strength would require something new: adaptation.

So she learned to meet her body where it was. To rebuild with intention. And, as she puts it, “to be kinder to myself without losing the intensity that makes me, me.” Because becoming a mother doesn’t make us less capable. 🙏 It changes where we’re headed and gives us new reasons to feel strong along the way.

“Let’s ditch the idea of ‘getting back’ and focus on where we want to go next.” 🏔️ Toward chasing our kids around the mountain, lifting them onto the chairlift, teaching them to ski, bike, climb, and explore. Toward strength that serves the life unfolding in front of us.

Can’t stop, won’t stop.⚡️👽🚀 We will neverrr be done with sharing photos of women pregnant, postpartum, breastfeeding, adventuring, resting, trying, wobbling, climbing, biking, hiking, mothering, and doing it in a way that actually feels like them.

Not because every woman should be doing big things while pregnant or because motherhood needs to be another performance. But because for too long, mothers have been handed a very narrow image of what this season is supposed to look like.

Careful. Quiet. Selfless. Small. Grateful, but not too wild. Tired, but still pleasant. Changed, but not too honest about it. And we’re just not interested in that being the only story. 💯

We want to see the pregnant climber, the breastfeeding hiker, the mom covered in snack dust and trail dirt, the woman who still wants the summit, the swim, the bike ride, the backyard tent, the dance party, the version of motherhood that makes her feel alive.

Because motherhood is not a disappearing act and we’re going to keep making that visible here at Mothership HQ. 💃 Thanks for sending your stories, photos, and wild selves our way. We ❤️ you to the moon.

You don’t realize how much you’ve been holding in… until you find women who get it. 🫶🏼

The “wait… do you feel this way too?!”
The “you went on a hut to hut trip pregnant too?”
The “you also bring your toddler on your bike?”
The “you wanna dance all night and camp the next morning?”

This kind of crew and support system can change everything. Rad moms to share, commiserate, and hype with. The convos happening in the FB and WhatsApp group chats are that and so much more.

Beyond all this, Mothership gals have stepped up to host over 130 events in May so that y’all can meet IRL all over the place. It’s just 🤯🌈🚀
