CARtime Pro Cycling | Welkom Race Report

Another strong weekend for CARtime Pro Cycling in Welkom, as the team extended its lead in the National Road Series standings.

Arriving with a clear objective to defend our position at the top of the rankings, the team delivered a disciplined performance, putting us in an even stronger position heading into the final races of the season.

Crosswinds played a decisive role in shaping the race, with the peloton splitting under pressure. The team responded well to the changing conditions, placing four riders in the leading group of 12. Our numerical advantage allowed us to control the race, cover key moves and contribute to extending the breakaway’s lead.

As the race reached its decisive phase, Kellan once again demonstrated his outstanding form, making the final selection of four riders who would contest the finish. He secured an excellent third place, adding another podium result to an impressive run of performances.

Rhys also delivered a strong ride to finish sixth, securing further valuable points for the team’s National Road Series campaign.

A composed and committed team performance, with every rider playing their part in extending our advantage at the top of the standings.

With the season drawing to a close, the focus remains firmly on the overall National Road Series title. The final races are approaching, and the team is determined to finish the season strongly.

TOUR DE WORCESTER 🏆

Another masterclass from the CARtime lads.
From the flag drop, the race was aggressive, with attack after attack — but the boys were on it, making sure we were present in every move.

A crash unfortunately took @james_swart_ out early, forcing us to adapt our lead-out, but once again the depth of this team came through.

When the attacks came in the closing kilometres, @simonferreira.cst and @zanesalzwedel were straight onto them, making sure nothing got away.

Then came the sprint.
@kellangouveris delivered once again, taking another emphatic victory in an incredible run of form. @rhys_burrell___ crossed the line in 5th, with @brad_gouveris 7th.

Three riders in the top 10. Another team victory. Another step forward in the @mzansi.nrs2026 .

The CARtime lads continue to show exactly what this team is capable of.

Double race weekend part two

Following a successful day at blue diamond classic we headed to the western cape for @swartlandroadrace . We got on the start line tired from a long travel day but ready to give it what we had. I suffered an unfortunate puncture but managed to find my way back into the race and help the boys at ASAP along with @simonferreira.cst close down the break away before the decisive climb of the day from there we managed to get 3 guys in the move over the climb and were rewarded with 2nd for @kellangouveris and 5th for @brad_gouveris with @rhys_burrell___ helping close down any last moves on the run in to the finish. This wrapped up a very successful weekend which we can be proud of!

Double race weekend part one

On the hunt for @mzansi.nrs2026 points some of us from @cartime_pro_cycling headed up to Pretoria for the blue diamond classic. We raced very well as a team and were rewarded with positions 1, 2, 4 and 8th. We once again showed our strength in depth and ability to work well as a team. Keep your eyes peeled for part 2. As always a massive thank you to everyone behind the scenes who makes everything happen with this team of ours.

Double race weekend ⚔️

A great weekend away to Pretoria and Cape Town for the Blue Diamond Classic and @swartlandroadrace . Very happy with where my form is at leading into the 2nd half of the season. A huge thanks to @hyltonbelitzky and @cartime_za for putting your trust in us.

Swartland Cycle Classic 2026

With tired legs and limited recovery, the lads headed down to the Cape for a second race in as many days. After the highs of yesterday, the objective was simple: back it up and go again.

The race started in controlled fashion and remained relatively steady for much of the day, with @james_swart_ and @simonferreira.cst doing the work at the front alongside Team ASAP to keep the race in check.

We knew the real action would come with around 20 kilometres remaining as the peloton approached Bothmaskloof Pass — and when the road went up, the race exploded.

The climb shattered the bunch, leaving just 15 riders clear, with three Cartime riders making the decisive selection: @kellangouveris @brad_gouveris and @rhys_burrell___

From there, the pace never let up. With no room for mistakes and every rider fighting for position, the final kilometres were raced at full gas.

Kellan once again showed his incredible run of form, sprinting to a hard-fought 2nd place, while Brad crossed the line in 5th overall, adding another valuable haul of Mzansi Series points to the team’s tally.

Another outstanding performance from the entire squad. Racing twice in one weekend, on opposite sides of the country, is no small ask. The commitment, resilience and depth shown by the whole team was exceptional.

Now it’s time to take a well-earned step back, recover, and reset before the lads turn their attention to the next big objectives of the season.

The @swartlandroadrace definitely didn't dissapoint
Ok Ok it was somewhat a chilled race for first 90kms but with reason @luc_white1 built such a huge gap early into race that @asapcycling for most part could only maintain 1min plus gap
@theuns_vdbank later bridged across and the 2 worked together like a well oiled machine.
Kudos @cartime_pro_cycling for pulling off double races this weekend putting them comfortably back ontop @mzansi.nrs2026 Team classification.
It was clear Bothmaspass was the highlight of the race where all the action happened.
@2018morganjones attacked mid pass with @carloengelbrecht_ bridge across taking @williampiat along. Wasn't long before @willem_visagie2005 with help of @simonferreira.cst closed gap down only for @realty_dynamix to throw multiple attacks till the final sprint.
@the__lange claiming top step 🥇
@kellangouveris second 🥈
@migz_107_ 3rd🥉
Shoutout to series sponsors

@swartlandroadrace Formed part of the @mzansi.nrs2026 series for 2026
114km course with the infamous Bothmaspass 10kms before the end.
@luc_white1 spent most of time in break and was joined by @theuns_vdbank whom both got caught just before the start of Bothmaspass climb which saw @2018morganjones fly over with 3 riders in pursuit and was eventually brought back by the chasing 12 riders.
Attacks were aplenty for the last 5km coming from @realty_dynamix however nothing stuck.
@the__lange took top honours followed by @kellangouveris and @migz_107_ rounding off the podium
