Today @mostlyskateboarding and I celebrate 20 years since we've been together! It's been an awesome 20 years, I'm so grateful for Templeton. I truly believe communication and always wanting the best for each other is the key to a happy relationship. 🥰

We decided to extend Februllage because of the current situation in Europe. New prompt for the month of March is : PEACE.

Without peace we will never achieve the world we dream of passing to future generations. Peace is the only way.

Fin y gracias.
Después de casi 2 meses de trabajo terminé esta serie, me permitió conectarme con mucha gente alrededor del mundo y me llenó de mucha alegría. Gracias @pnwcollagecollective por la genial iniciativa. We are so excited to be collaborating with @kelletteworks & @cutandplaced of @pnwcollagecollective again for another wonderful exhibition celebrating the art of collage in the Pacific Northwest with an in-person Opening Night the evening of April 15 and an in-person collage "Cut and Paste Social" on April 16, 10 am-3:30 pm in Wenatchee, Washington.

"Paper Cuts II" OPEN CALL Information and Guidelines:

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: MARCH 6, 2022 11:59 PM PST
*submission form in linktree link in our bio!

REGIONAL ONLY: Must live in the Pacific Northwest region to be considered (Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho)

Number of Submissions: Artists are able to submit up to 2 pieces of artwork for consideration

No Theme: Please feel free to explore any theme that you wish!

Required Size: All collage submissions must be no larger than 8 inches by 8 inches in size

Matting Artwork: Accepted collages must be mounted on matboard, there are no border requirements, only that they do not exceed 8 x 8 inches in size. Artwork can be smaller than 8x8 and doesn't have to be a square, just no larger than 8x8" total

Unframed: All collage work will be displayed unframed

Pricing: Pricing for Collage work must not exceed $150 (Artists maintain 70% and Collapse Gallery receives 30% in event of a sale)

Exhibition Fee: PNWCC is dedicated to keeping our exhibitions accessible and low cost. All accepted submissions are subject to a $10 entry fee to help cover the costs of the event.

Shipping: Artists are responsible for all shipping costs to and from the gallery

Contract: Accepted Artists will be required to sign a contract with Collapse Gallery

Acceptance notifications: Acceptance emails and Shipping Deadlines will be sent out on March 11, 2022

Artwork should be suitable for the general public, including minors

This is a juried show: Artwork is reviewed by Chad Yenney, Kellette Elliott, and Laura Weiler

1309: "My Valentine" mixed media collage for my Valentine @mostlyskateboarding. This is the front of a card I made for my husband, best friend, dancing partner. When I saw these 2 dancing, it made me think of us and the fun we have together and how in sync we are.

This morning I took a break from my action figure repaints and dioramas and decided to try a new art technique. This interesting tape transfer was inspired by @kelletteworks.

I really liked the idea of the fragmenting, aged pictures, especially of stars like Marilyn Monroe.
