POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It was so beautiful seeing people turn out this weekend for a shared experience. I performed Friday night at the Common Cup Coffeehouse and Saturday's Morris Folk Fest, and sold 30 loaves of bread - but I felt like I was the one being entertained and filled up. From little kids with allowance money to professional artists paying me real compliments, and dear friends showing up in the cold and wet with hot coffee... I'm humbled and grateful to have a front row seat to a community wanting connection and being the change they want to see happen. It is something special we have here and it gives me hope for our future. Thank you, Morris ❤️

We folkin did it! I don't even know how many people came together to make the first annual Morris Folk Fest a success but there were at least 45 volunteers, musicians and vendors. The weather took a turn this morning, and there was steady rain for the first couple hours. A sizable crowd still showed up. We moved a few acts around to keep everyone at the heated side stage where it was warm and dry, until it cleared up enough for us to finish the night on the main stage. A little girl I didn't know came up to me as I stepped off stage after my set and dug a nickel out of her coin purse and handed it to me and then ran off.

What is a Songwriters Retreat and Sessions you ask?

In summary, it’s paddling or hiking, listening or laughing, foraging or fishing, painting or writing, strumming or humming, reading or relaxing, filling cups of cowboy coffee or plates of campfire cooked meals, camping and an intimate live music merry-go-round.

This weekend is round two and we’re beyond excited to be working with @turkeyriverartsandmusic to make it happen again with @katwodtke @shy_and_lonesome @sorenstaff @debtalan @ramblerkane @upchurchnicole

Ticket sales end soon ⏳Then arrive early at 4pm this Saturday!
