Time to crab the crackers and gather around the firepit! Because where there’s smoke…there’s dip! 😂

A Cool Evening calls for something smoking hot! For this month’s Tasty Pairing, I give you Wood-fired Crab & Artichoke Dip. Recipe, my own creation, pinned in comments. Can you dig it? 🕺Bringing back the ultimate 1970’s party favorite with an elevated, modern twist. In the dip itself, grilled artichoke hearts, Spanish pimenton and smoked gouda infuse a gentle, wood-fired taste and aroma. Another riff: using chopped smoked almonds, as opposed to regular, in the crunchy topping that includes panko, melted butter and Parm. The smoky undertones of the dip pair beautifully with the warm caramel and oak notes of a Whiskey Sour! Because now that the weather has turned, it’s time for amber liquor (even though mine looks more like a beer! 😂) Serve with buttery little toasts and, in a further nod to Fall, sweet potato crisps. Dip-licious! 🦀🥃🍂🍁
