I love painting birds. When I came across a rose breasted grosbeak bird on my walk a few months ago, it was a lovely sight to see. He hung around for a while on a tree branch beside our path so that I could take him all in peacefully. It was exactly what I needed at the time and God provided ☺️🙌🏼. This was my vision of him. Painted in watercolor & gouache and acrylic on canvas.

Saturday I got to go to Kellyn Trapp’s art retreat called Come Away With Me!

The day was filled with praise and worship and soaking in God and His presence and His creative inspiration!

For me I felt God continue to speak to me about what I’m stepping into now!

Leaning into Him!

Trusting Him!

Going where He leads!

In fact the whole weekend ended up being about that. Being where He wanted me, letting go of what I couldn’t control and trusting Him.

That is a lesson for all of us.

We get to be exactly where He wants us to be, let go of what we can’t control and fully trust Him.

He’s got it and what’s more, He holds us!

I’m so grateful for this experience this past Saturday! It has confirmed a lot of things and reminded me how God holds me.

His HeArt creative sessions are about opening up your hearts to God's heart in a creative process. Through the use of art it will give you space to let God speak intimately into your hearts to listen (hear His voice) and then respond through the creative process. Perfection is tossed aside and a finished masterpiece is pushed off its pedestal. The Master Creator himself will be glorified and you will experience freedom and healing.

Date: Thursday, October 6th 7pm-9pm
