• Iran, the United States and Israel agreed to a two-week ceasefire on Tuesday, an 11th-hour deal that allowed U.S. President Donald Trump to pull back from his threats to unleash a bombing campaign that would destroy Iranian civilization. But attacks in Iran and Gulf Arab countries were reported on Wednesday, throwing the deal into question.

The plan also includes allowing both Iran and Oman to charge fees on ships transiting through the Strait of Hormuz, a regional official said Wednesday on condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. The strait is in the territorial waters of both Oman and Iran. The world had considered the passage an international waterway and never paid tolls before.

• Republican Clay Fuller on Tuesday won Marjorie Taylor Greene’s former U.S. House seat in Georgia, turning back a Democratic challenge with the help of President Donald Trump’s endorsement despite uneasiness over the war in Iran.

In a deep red district that Greene won by 29 points and Trump carried by almost 37 points two years ago, Fuller was on track to prevail by about 12 points with almost all votes counted.

• TACO Results: Stock markets are surging worldwide, and oil prices are plunging back toward $90 per barrel after President Donald Trump pulled back from his threat to force a “whole civilization” to die in the war with Iran.

• The Los Angeles woman who pleaded guilty to illegally selling the ketamine that killed “Friends” actor Matthew Perry is set to be sentenced in a federal courtroom Wednesday.

• A former architect accused of killing seven women and dumping their bodies in Long Island’s Gilgo Beach is expected to plead guilty Wednesday, more than a decade after the discovery of human remains sent shock waves through the New York City suburb and captivated the nation.

Rex Heuermann, 62, is set to change his plea at an appearance in Suffolk County Court on Wednesday in connection with the murders that occurred over a 17-year period, sources told NBC News last week.
