Yesterday was a much-needed reminder that life is happening outside of my business, too. ❤️

As a mom and a full-time entrepreneur, finding balance isn’t always easy. You’re constantly trying to give 100% to your business while making sure you’re giving that same love, energy, and attention to your children.

And the reality is, BOTH deserve the best version of you.

Yesterday, I took a break from work and took my kids to the fair. No worrying about appointments, no thinking about my next business move. Just me being MOM. 🥹❤️

Watching them laugh, play, and genuinely enjoy themselves reminded me why I work so hard in the first place.

Entrepreneurship requires sacrifice, but I’m learning that being intentional with my time is just as important as being productive.

My business needs me, but so do my babies. And while I may not always be able to give both 100% at the same time, I can make sure I’m fully present wherever I am.

Because businesses can grow, opportunities will come, and work will always be there… but my children will only be this little once. 🥹

Here’s to building a successful business without missing the beautiful moments we’re working so hard for. ❤️

Mom first. Entrepreneur always. Balance intentionally. #entrepreneur #familyfun

Everyone has their own unique talents.

I am a flamingo like @dshands and my first coach @kendallficklin

I have to learn to harness my God given ability to connect with ANYONE, regardless of who they are.

I stalked @twowheeledblondie up to the third floor of Square One as I was making a quick trip to @shopsquareone and learned she is a nurse.

But more importantly, I am challenging right now to upload all four of her full SD card of her riding to @youtube so she can share her journey on these beautiful machines

The goal isn't to win the argument...
The goal is to protect the relationship. 👑

Too many men confuse leadership with control.

Real leadership looks like emotional maturity.

It looks like choosing connection over ego.
Growth over pride.
Communication over assumptions.

The healthiest marriages aren't built by perfect couples.

They're built by two people who refuse to stop growing.

Become the kind of man who protects the relationship—even when you're frustrated.

Eight marks I’ve built.
Up close.
Nothing flashy.
Or trendy.
Or particularly head turning.
Just simple.
Memorable.
Timeless.
Versatile.
Appropriate.
That’s been the formula since day one. It hasn’t changed.
Deeper looks coming soon.

SPEAKERS Magazine was ON THE SCENE at the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival for the very first time and what a way to make an entrance! 🎬✨This is how we celebrate BLACK BUSINESS MONTH

Our August cover featured the incredible founders of #MVAAFF, Stephanie and Floyd Rance, and after experiencing this festival up close, all I can say is: WOW. They have created something truly special.

The Vineyard was filled with Black excellence, Black influence, Black creativity and Black elite energy. The conversations. The films. The connections. The culture. The people! Stephanie and Floyd, you did an excellent job. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

And Erin Goldson… GIRL! You captured the spirit of the Vineyard beautifully. That Vineyard Icon Award moment was everything. 🏆💜

@vineyard_icon, SPEAKERS Magazine may just have to put YOU on the cover next year! Erin, you did that thing. Love you, love you! 💕

What a week. What an experience. What a community AT @mvaaff

SPEAKERS Magazine will be back.

Vineyard, you haven’t seen the last of us. 💜🎤📸

Story time…
Growing up, I sucked at basketball! Going to the court with my friends meant that I was not gonna get picked to play!

Why did I go you may ask?

That’s where all my friends were, so what else was I gonna do 🤷🏾‍♂️

You see, we did not play in the house by ourselves in those days! WE PLAYED OUTSIDE!

I was the kid that the teachers would send a 📝 home saying “Glenn plays too nice with others” 🤦🏾‍♂️🙋🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

That was more than 50 years ago! Who would’ve thought that I would play 21 with my Brothers in Panama 🇵🇦 every Tuesday morning at 6:30a (not because I like to play basketball, because I don’t 🤫) but you can’t threaten me with a good time when it comes to spending time with the fellas! #BrotherHood 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾#TheBrickLayers 🥺😳😳#WeAllNeedSomeHelp 😬
