“Why do you still turn away rather than letting me see your body when you’re changing clothes?” This was the question @danieldtillman asked @kendratillman during this week’s podcast episode: Why Is Sex So Complicated in Marriage?

As Kendra was able to reflect on the deeper reason she came to realize: she learned early on in life the danger of a woman being seen and that now even after nearly 30 years of marriage, there may be some shame at the root of her turning away.

This week on the Love4Real Podcast, we’re having one of our most candid and vulnerable conversations yet.
We’re talking about sexual expectations, differences in desire, and the challenges couples face when one spouse feels rejected while the other feels pressured or misunderstood.
But we go deeper.

What if understanding your spouse’s sexual needs begins with understanding their story?

Ask the hard questions before marriage. Pre-marriage is not the time to be timid about uncovering possible issues before you say “I do”.

Doing the work of marriage doesn’t start at the altar. A wise woman once shared “Enter marriage with your eyes wide open.” Pre-marriage is a valuable time in a couples’ relationship. Get the support of wise and experienced counsel to walk with you through the process of preparing for marriage.

Married couples: on a scale from 1-5, how much of a priority was it for you to ask the hard questions? (1-i didn’t know I should; 5-high priority)
