It’s seriously hard being the hot one in your friends groups💁‍♂️💅

Okay on a real note, here’s a few snapshots from a nearly 100 mile white water rafting trip down the Salmon River in Idaho. We rafted by day and slept on the shore by night and became RIVER PEOPLE.

Big thank you to @adriangrenier for inviting me and @kenhowery_ for gathering such an incredible group of humans to dive head first into life with.

In recent years a lot of attention has been focused on killer whale (orca) sightings in Baja. But an even rarer species to encounter is the False killer whale.

Contrary to what its name implies, the False killer whale is not directly related to the killer whale. However, as with the killer whale, it is also not a whale but a large member of the dolphin family.

Although no serious conservation concerns exist for the False killer whale, some populations have been and still are deliberately hunted. They are also captured for the captivity trade and, like many cetaceans, there are incidental deaths associated with the fishing industry. #baja #oceanlove

The ocean surrounding Baja is so full of life it feels like a dream. An incredible testimony to the abundance and staggering beauty that the big blue holds, but also a sobering reminder that we must take a stand to protect what remains.

Every year tens of thousands of mobula rays visit the coastlines of the Sea of Cortez in Mexico’s Baja California peninsula. The congregations of rays are one of the most incredible natural spectacles on our planet — and one of the largest in the world.

Mobula rays are notorious for their acrobatic displays. As for the jumping, we’re not quite sure why rays do that. Many possible explanations have been put forward linking the behavior to everything from hunting and courting to parasite removal. Scientists also believe the breaching may act as a form of communication as sound waves are pushed through the water on re-entry. It’s also possible that these sea pancakes are just having a bit of fun! What do you think?

My film and conservation work has taken me to the most remote corners of the ocean to document some of nature’s most magnificent spectacles. Sadly, as a direct consequence of mass commercial whaling in the 19th and 20th centuries, the great whales have been notably absent throughout most of the ocean habitats I have filmed in. However, what I have experienced here in Baja California Sur (BCS) has been truly mind blowing. The abundance and diversity of great whales and cetaceans found here is second to none. The waters surrounding BCS are truly one of the last great sanctuaries for whales in the northern hemisphere, and we must do all we can to protect these majestic creatures. 🐋 @greatwhaleconservancy @betadiversidad @onlyone @sealegacy

After a BUSY offseason, Bivouac are ready to bounce back from their winless 2021 season. But how far can this squad of mostly rookies go? #BIG3Season5

Such an incredible week @cambridgeuniversity with such a credible content and super VUCA people, who bought poetry, creativity, care, awareness and humor every moment of the program and made the week memorable, inspirational and super informative ❤️ I just want to keep these emotions and remember - to challenge the “orthodox assumptions”; -best teams aren’t always made by ‘best’ people, rather by the people who create the psychological safe environment; -Synchronization and coordination is more important than energy or power; -Challenge myself by Stephan’s question- “Will doing something will move the boat faster?”; When conversations are difficult, to write down what I have said and what I haven’t said and try to merge them; Creativity and innovation isn’t something totally new, it can be an improvement, an adaption and/or a connection between two
or more elements; To Do more with Less for More and Keep it simple; and always always follow the ♥️ Grateful to everyone who made it possible @yglcommunity @worldeconomicforum @cambridgejudge; faculty by the leadership of #thomasroulet, deputy director of MBA program and super YGLers ♥️💥
