I’m so proud of how this custom reception desk for @wpplayhouse turned out! I was given the opportunity to design and build this custom 10-foot reception desk from concept to completion. It was a challenge but incredibly rewarding! So grateful for the opportunity to build something that’ll welcome patrons for years to come! 🖤 #carpentry #woodworking

I’m incredibly excited to announce that I am running the New York City Marathon while raising awareness and fundraising for
To Write Love on Her Arms.

Somewhere around age 14 I first heard of TWLOHA through both my local Orlando community and the emo music scene. They gave me permission to feel things out loud and have honest conversations with my friends and those in my life. And in so many ways, that honesty and openness has paved the way for who I am today.

At 34 I find myself still involved and in love with their organization.

The whole goal of running for @twloha is to bring
a message of hope + help to those struggling with
depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.

And for me personally it is to show the world what is possible. I wasn’t always a runner. But, with lots of practice and dedication I have completed multiple ultra marathon runs and ran over 1000 miles both last year and the year before. Why tell you this? Because I really believe at the end of the day, anything is possible.

However, sometimes to fully realize our journey we have to ask for help. Outside of running I’ve dealt with an abundance of mental health issues from ADHD, anxiety, to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. And the truth is, I couldn’t have gone through any of it alone. I had to ask for help from my friends and family, seek doctors, go to therapy, and even take medication.

And that for me, is what TWLOHA is all about; creating access for people to easilyget help along their journeys.

I’m honored to be a part of @TWLOHA’s @NYCMARATHON team, where
runners are rallying together to support safe spaces for
people to be honest about their struggles, and to remind
them they’re not alone.

TWLOHA is fighting for people to
stay alive and to find healing—and I want to help by
raising $5000 by November 1st at the start of The New York Marathon.

(The crazy part is that we have already raised almost $500 since the campaign launched yesterday.

Please join me in making this all possible by donating to my fundraiser
today! You can give at the link in my bio. Please know that every single dollar makes a difference.

All my love,

Your friend, David.
