The Walkthrough: Entrance & Staircase

The entrance sets the tone for the entire build. During the final walkthrough, we look past the styling to ensure the technical execution of the stair runner and wall panelling is seamless.

What to look for:

Pitch Precision: The wall moulding must track the staircase’s incline with a perfectly consistent offset. If the geometry is off by even a few millimetres, the hallway feels unbalanced.

Runner Tension: With natural weaves, we look for a crisp ‘Waterfall’ drop over each nosing. This prevents the material from stretching over time.

The Parallel Check: We ensure the runner is centred so precisely that the edge binding stays exactly parallel to the panelling lines.

Save this checklist for your next project handover!
