2019 #cosplayyearinreview time!

This year was a busy one for Trident (mainly me, but still). We were in attendance at WonderCon, Katsucon, Colorado Anime Fest, RTX, Denver Pop Culture Con, Dakucon and Forever Con. Ryan was with us at RTX and sadly, Mel missed out on cons this year due to prior commitments. Going to change that in the new year, but we're talking about this year.

I debuted a lot of new cosplays this year. From Ren 3.0 (from @dishwasher1910 's work), Formal Ren and my S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent at Katsu, to Peter B Parker at WonderCon, to Beacon Academy Ren and Yatsuhashi, Kimono Ren, and both the Iron Spider and Far From Home Spider-Man at RTX, there was a lot going on. I even squeezed in a low effort Mario at Dakucon, and a Michael Jackson x Neptune Vasilias crossover for Halloween.

On the flip side, classic Spidey and Vol 1 Ren returned, alongside Neptune Vasilias, who actually took a back seat this year. Ryan brought back Iron Tim and his Mark VI Iron Man.

What will 2020 hold in store? Well, I can tell you that there will be new cosplays (at least one that been announced, as well as several that noone knows about, well, besides @chocowaffo and Mel and Ryan anyway). There's going to be appearances at conventions old and new. Probably a fair amount of stress, but ultimately, a whole lot of fun.

What do you guys hope to see from Trident in the new year? Any big plans of your own? -Stephen

This shot is the whole reason @kentocosplay and I did our studio photoshoot together, and I’m SO impressed with the results! They had to recreate a magazine cover for an assignment, and so we recreated a Viktor cosplayer’s Cosplay Mode cover. (Swipe to see the original cover!) It was such a pleasure to shoot with Kento. 💕 #yurionice #yurionicecosplay #yurio #yuriplisetsky #yuriplisetskycosplay #anime #animecosplay #cosplaygirl #crossplay #crossplayer #cosplayersofinstagram #cosplaygirlsofinstagram #yoi #yoicosplay #cosplay #wttm #welcometothemadness #wttmcosplay #queercosplayer #queer #lgbtq #welcometothemadnesscosplay #arizonacosplayer #arizonacosplay #azcosplay #azcosplayer #icetigerofrussia

I had a long drive home last night from LA. I’m grateful for the chance I had to take the trip out to visit my uncle and friends, and just wish I’d had more time! Not much longer now til I move to Germany, something that’s really hitting me now. It’s bittersweet to be sure - I’m excited to be with my husband again, but I’ll be far away from my close friends and family. Thank goodness for the internet so we can stay connected. 📸 by @kentocosplay #yurionice #yurionicecosplay #yurio #yuriplisetsky #yuriplisetskycosplay #anime #animecosplay #cosplaygirl #crossplay #crossplayer #cosplayersofinstagram #cosplaygirlsofinstagram #yoi #yoicosplay #cosplay #wttm #welcometothemadness #wttmcosplay #welcometothemadnesscosplay #arizonacosplayer #arizonacosplay #azcosplay #azcosplayer #icetigerofrussia
