Happy #transdayofvisibility🏳️‍⚧️ from me and the furry parts of my small family in a time that’s incredibly bittersweet, it’s been 5 years since I came out and started my transition. I felt safe to do so back then but currently it’s been harder to feel safe.

When are the people who aren’t trans who are wishing a happy visibility day going to show up for the community and I mean all the community not just the white people but the poc and minorities, those who aren’t thin and don’t fit into the medias version of what a trans person looks like? Will you support the small gofundme’s, the fundraiser for small/grassroot organizations, or those who have cash apps in their bios who are just trying to rely on community aid to survive instead of the large organizations who have corporations as donors?
Will you support the youth who are trans? Those who know they are trans and tell you about it, cry, scream, beg, and shout from the rooftops about who they really are but are ignored in the name of religion, adult comfort, or societal norm.

I knew I wasn’t my assigned gender from a very young age but due to religious pressure I hid it for 24 years destroying my mental health. I lost friends and family over my decision for happiness and mental well-being but i would never change that decision to transition. I’m asking you to do something for trans people because you never know if someone you love is trans or may transition later on in life. Call your representatives supporting anti-trans legislation, support and follow trans content creators with small and big platforms, if you can financially support someone’s transition fund or community aid, and lastly something that costs nothing but means the world speak out against transphobia whenever you encounter it and make transphobes uncomfortable in any space they exist in. #nonbinarytrans #nonbinary #transgender #transandproud #ferret #transcommunity #transmutualaid Alex is a white non-binary person in a black shirt with a pride colored bitten popsicle print. I’m a trans non-binary person who uses he/they pronouns. I have received multiple forms of gender affirming surgery and am on HRT to better affirm my gender identity. I see everyone who is non-binary if you are in the closet, open about it, or have to present in a gendered way for safety. Finished the Alix shawl by @divinedebris I used hobbii Halloween twister in shade 4, accidentally turned into the bisexual colors. I hope to be able to make it in another color. Yesterday was Halloween it also just so happened to be mine and my spouses 1 year anniversary. We got married last year and the time has flown by. We both feel it’s been forever and not that long. I guess when you love someone so much time doesn’t feel real, though the middle of a pandemic and time melding together doesn’t help. Yarn barf is what I have been working on for the past day. I got super lucky and was able to #handdye this yarn with indigo and onion skins. Going to my first #sca A&S event was a lot of fun. I enjoyed my experience and learned about natural dyes I have always had an interest in. I am working on my next cardigan from @altknots and the amazing patterns created. It’s going to be a black and white striped for the spooky season. I adore anything alt knot makes since it’s all by personal measurements, so no matter what it’s going to be the correct size. Life has been a bit busy the past few weeks. I was able to get a full hysterectomy. Since surgery I have been amazing and felt so much happier and confident in my body. It went amazing with no hiccups and my recovery has been nothing but easy. My surgeon is happy with how I’m healing up and in 3 weeks we find out how it is internally. This is one of the last photos that was taken from @awesomecons where I got to work the #sca booth with some other baronies. Reflecting on everything that has happened this past weekend I have many mixed emotions. On Monday it was my 10 year anniversary of going to conventions and doing #cosplay. Sometimes one chapter of our life has to close to enjoy the new journey ahead. I have taken a break from cosplay for my own mental health, I decided the joy and happiness I used to have with cosplay no longer existed and for me the SCA gave me that love, happiness, and passion back. The tunic I am wearing was a 3-day build for this convention. It’s based on an 10-11th century viking men’s tunic. What I have been working on for this upcoming weekend @awesomecons it’s a tunic based on ones from the viking era. I used 4 years of fabric and still have enough leftover to mask a mask or two. I’m going to be at the barony of storvick booth showing off my knowledge and some current projects.
