Landscapes, Spring-Summer 2026 - A Compilation.

Inspired by seeing the changing of seasons in June Lake last week, I went through my library of work and have selected some of my favorite landscape photos from this year.

Sooo take a look! As you swipe, there will be a title captioning every photo.

None of these photos have been edited in any way. This is an intentional choice I’ve made to preserve the natural beauty of the places I capture. This means there may be some dust on some shots sometimes, but they’re exposed correctly and sharp which is what matters to me.

My goal any time I make photos is always the same; to immortalize the realness of the beauty around me in the moment. I am so blessed to have seen all that I have so far, and am looking forward to exploring and creating more!

thanks for looking 🫶🏼

The Turtleman Rap - one of the wildest days of my life was spent filming this with @theturtlemanliveaction see full video on YouTube. Stream it everywhere. — I wrote this song after seeing the original feature on @kentuckyafield that went viral and started the whole Turtleman craze. I shared this song with him and he loved it. He and his friends invited me and @austinupchurch down to shoot a video. Life got in the way of finishing the editing but I managed to get it out several years later - after The Call of the Wildman show had ran. Just an amazing person and one of the most memorable days of my life. Pulling out that snapper was SCARY! For some people in Kentucky, bears are a nuisance and a menace. For other people in Kentucky, they don’t even know they’re here. Where are you on this spectrum?

On April 27, 2026, Kentucky officially recognized the Eastern Spotted Skunk as the Official Kentucky Non-Game Mammal and the Eastern Hellbender as the Official Kentucky State Amphibian.

What began as an idea born from wildlife rehabilitation and conservation education became Kentucky law after passing both the House and Senate on April 15th.

I’m deeply grateful to State Representative Derek Lewis for presenting and supporting this legislation, and thankful to everyone who believes Kentucky’s native wildlife matters.

This is more than symbolism — it’s awareness, education, conservation, and a reminder that even species many people overlook still deserve a voice.

Owen Boone’s first turkey. April 18th, 2026 at 7:45 EST.

Opening day of spring turkey in Kentucky has long been my favorite day of the year. As far back as I can remember it has always had more build up and anticipation around it than any other day of the year. I haven’t missed a Kentucky opening day in 29 years.
I’ve killed and witnessed a lot of turkeys make their last mistake over all those years.
Yesterday morning surpassed every moment I’ve had chasing game. To talk Owen through the steps to execute his first ever turkey is something I never thought I’d be able to do. Especially at just 5 years old. It’s a moment I hope is forever etched into both of our minds. “Proud Dad” doesn’t come close to explaining my feelings. It’ll take a while to get this smile off my face.

Full video coming soon…

This image is an older one, but it popped up recently and I'm kinda partial to it. I watched this heron for over an hour trying to get the plastic ring off its beak but to no avail.

While I was shooting I was thinking how long it had to live because it was pretty apparent the piece of litter wasn't coming off. Sad.

Kentucky Landowners - contact your senators and representatives - support SB39!

Currently in Kentucky on a private pond/lake, any person fishing over the age of 16 that is not a spouse/dependent of the landowner - MUST have a fishing license - at your pond! Tickets have actually been written on private land. That’s absurd!

You also are limited to harvesting 6 bass over 12” by statewide regulations. How would you address small stunted bass? Or manage effectively?

You also cannot stock the variety of bass that produced our Kentucky State Record, which was 62.5% FL and almost 15lbs. Experts say northerns only get to 10lbs.

SB39 nullifies the ban on Florida genetics that was hastily issued in 2022 after our DNA swab. Responsible Florida Bass experimentation can bring millions in economic activity to KY if successful!

SB39 has strong momentum to return these rights to landowners! Reach out to your State Senators and State Representatives, we need your support. Return these rights to landowners! 🎣
