Me and fellow East Midlands YCs had a brilliant evening with the Lincoln Association, having the pleasure to have @peterbedfordmp as our guest speaker.

It was great to talk to others in the Lincoln Association, listening to our guest speaker’s hopeful outlook for the Conservative Party.

Here are some last pictures from the final evening and day of the Conservative Party Conference #CPC2024. I got to meet Jacob Rees Mogg @jacob_rees_mogg and get a picture with him. He was a very nice man and I welcomed his ideas about a merger or election pact with Nigel Farage @nigel_farage and the Reform party @thereformpartyuk. It is imperative that the Conservative party reforms itself as we need to start renewing our objectives and enshrine national conservative values in our party.

The highlight of the night was the grand reception of the Conservative Friends of India @conservativefriendsofindia . I listened to many speeches and I had a lovely plate of Indian food from their banquet. I got to say how much of a grand prize it was for Britain to secure a trade deal with India, as they are more of a jewel in the crown for international trade that is more rewarding in equality and creative minds for British people. China has ruined itself on the international stage with COVID and now their mandarins have made us vulnerable to security hazards and dictatorships.

The leadership debates and speeches made an impact on me. Now the next thing for me to decide upon is our next party leader. I hope for the sake of unity and stability no wet toff in the higher echelons of CCHQ tells us what candidates we can have. I want this to be fair and want someone who is good for the country and not just an election winner. My two preferences are Robert Jenrick and Kemi Badenoch.
