What an incredible night! ✨ We had an amazing time this week at our Seed to Plate event, hosted by the ESYNYC Associate Board.

A huge thank you to Chef Ned Baldwin (@lorenedwardbaldwin) and his team at @ZoliRestaurant for creating such a memorable menu for the evening. We are still dreaming about the spectacular marinated mussel and the chocolate cake with black garlic mousse! Thank you to Christine Muhlke (@xtinem), Jay Strell (@jstrell), and Poppy Edmonds (@poppoppops) for their ongoing support of our mission and introducing us to Chef Ned and Zoli.

Thank you to our generous event sponsors: @PaulHastingsLaw, @OpenTable, Select Equity Group, L.P., @USBank, Kirstie & Justin Walsh, and @WarbyParker. Thank you to our in-kind donors for their support: @BaldorFood, @DCCPPG, @SanPellegrino_US, @PernodRicardUSA, @GrimmAles, and @KermitLynchWine. And thank you to our many in-kind supporters that contributed to our raffle!

Thank you to the ESYNYC Associate Board and the events committee for hosting the event to raise funds for ESYNYC’s mission to bring edible education to every NYC student; we are so grateful for your ongoing dedication to our work. 🌱

Last but not least, THANK YOU to all who joined us for the event and supported our work through ticket and raffle proceeds! Edible Schoolyard NYC is so grateful for our community of supporters and partners. Your generosity enables us to reach thousands of NYC public school students every year through our programming.

Before the Champagne, there's the family behind it.

Chantal Bara represents generations of family winemaking in Bouzy, one of Champagne's celebrated Grand Cru villages.

The Bara family's roots here stretch back to 1833, with a longstanding dedication to the vineyards and the Pinot Noir that has made Bouzy famous.

Tomorrow, for Champagne Day, we'll take a closer look at what makes @champagne_paul_bara so special.

The 4th Annual Beaujolais Nouveau Blind Tasting Throwdown at Thirst! Running it back this year, of course, for our busiest day of the year, the immemorial one that celebrates the yearly harvest, the youngest wines of the year, the ode to voluminous imbibing, the celebration and satirization of the “blind taste,” the Gamay that runneth over —- we will have a whopping EIGHT nouveaux this year to blind taste and vote on your favorite with the winner crowned at close!

Following last year’s triumphant upset by @jet_ski_slim will there be another surprise this year? Though we promise it’s all Beaujolais (most likely) this go round.

Come thru 5 to close and taste, celebrate, and stock up on some Nouveau or any other wine your heart desires - we’ll have a lot!!

See you Thursday the 19th - the third Thursday of November and undeniably the best Thursday of the year.

Leg 2 of our journey to Sonoma Valley for @icecreamcohen and @nhanusek ‘s birthday extravaganza! We biked from home to the Ferry, and are here taking the ferry to Larkspur. We then had oysters at @hogislandoysterco and dropped in on the helpful folks at @kermitlynchwine, who supplied us with some undoubtedly delicious Etna Rosato.

From Larkspur we will hop on the SMART train to Downtown Santa Rosa and then ride an hour into Kenwood.

Go na be a great weekend! #bikelifestyle #bikeinfrastructure #glenellenwine #sfferry
