A little late posting, but these R&B vibes are timeless! 🎤 ⏳
Throwing it back to when Mario brought those 2000s R&B hits to the Kern County Fair! 🎡🎶 From the smooth vocals to the throwback hits, he definitely had Bakersfield feeling it!

This was part of the Hard Rock Casino Tejon Concert Series, thank you for bringing Mario to our city.
🎶 Who remembers singing along to “Let Me Love You”? What’s your favorite Mario song?

🥚👑 An egg-cellent day of service at the Kern County Fair!

As Mrs. Kern County, I was proud to volunteer for Egg Day during the fair’s 12 Days of Ag Education! Helping our community learn about agriculture and the role it plays in our everyday lives made this experience extra special. 🌾💛

Thank you to everyone who helped bring learning to life. It’s an honor to serve, connect, and celebrate the agricultural roots of Kern County!

A few things that basically count as a Bakersfield rite of passage 😂

📍 Dewar’s Candy Shop
If you grew up here, you’ve had the chews or a strawberry shake, and probably both. The original on Eye Street is still the one that feels right.

📍 Wool Growers
Family-style Basque dinner, the whole table passing dishes. It’s been going since 1954, and you’ve either been taken here or you took someone.

📍 Hart Park
Peacocks wandering around like they own the place. You can’t grow up here without a picnic or birthday party out there.

📍 The Kern County Fair
Fair food, the free concerts, and a wristband debate with your friends. It’s a September tradition, and everyone has a favorite night.

📍 Murray Family Farms in October
The pumpkin patch is one of those things you do every fall, whether you have kids or not. Go on a weekday or the crowds will humble you.

If you’ve checked off most of these, I think it’s safe to say you’ve earned local status.

If you’re still getting to know the area, comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my local guide with neighborhoods, favorite spots, and the things worth knowing.

👑🐣 Young Miss Kern County
Kern County Fair Egg Day! 🥚🎡

Serving with a purpose! ❤️

As Young Miss Kern County i had the wonderful opportunity to participate in Egg Day at the Kern County Fair, helping educate our community about agriculture, the importance of eggs, and the hardworking farmers who help feed our families. 🐔🥚

Through community engagement, education, and service, we continue to demonstrate that wearing a crown is about so much more than a title it's about making a difference, one interaction at a time! 👑💕

What a night! ✨

Our 15th Annual Bounty of Kern County Dinner was one to remember! From delicious farm-to-table dishes made with locally sourced ingredients to great entertainment and even better company, it was a wonderful evening celebrating Kern County agriculture and the people who make it possible.

A huge THANK YOU to our growers, sponsors, donors, and everyone who joined us and helped make this year’s event a success!

A special thank you to our Presenting Sponsor, @agwestfc, for their generous support!

We can’t wait to do it all again next year! 🚜🌾
