Peru has forever changed my heart, mind, body, and spirit.

For the past two weeks, I’ve been walking between worlds—held by the mountains—Apus, the jungle, and the unseen. I connected with Andean ancestors, learned sacred rituals, and sat in ceremonies with two powerful Maestros—one of the mountains, one of the jungle. Transformed by both. In these spaces, a doorway opened within me, I met myself fully… my darkness and my light. A part of me unraveled, and a part of me was reborn. There is something sacred in witnessing both—so much wisdom lives in the duality.

From the ancient paths of Machu Picchu to learning plants, herbs, farming, cooking, and textiles with the beautiful community of Misminay… from the challenge of Kinsa Cocha Lake to trekking through sleet, snow, and rain up Rainbow Mountain—I met my edges again and again. I cried at the top, not just from the climb, but from the realization of how far I can go when I believe in myself.

I found family here. Souls I will carry for life. Nights under the stars, sharing music, laughter, and tears—the medicine of both. I was deeply held, nourished, and cared for by the incredible team at @aynisanctuary.

This journey opened a deeper connection to my own ancestors—visiting me in dreams, in ceremony, in quiet moments. My cousin Dexter came to me daily as a hummingbird… a reminder that love never leaves, it transcends all realms.

Peru, your land and spirit are so potent, so healing. I will miss you with my whole heart. But I know this is not the end—I will return.

Thank you to the people of Peru for welcoming us so openly.
Thank you to our guide @86ferdinand of @goaventuratravel for leading us with such care. Happy birthday again!
Thank you to the Maestros, and the land itself.
Thank you @tashamaemedicine_retreats for curating such a life-changing journey. And @rissalovah —it is an honor to witness you living your dream my friend. I am so proud of all you are creating at Ayni Sanctuary.

With deep gratitude from my heart to yours… aho 🤍

Wellness is the state of being in balance spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Wellness is an unstable equilibrium. Our thoughts, motivations, and actions can keep us in balance or throw us off kilter. Wellness work means that we focus on all aspects of our being and nurture those are in need of care. When in balance, wellness paves the way to self-actualization, self-acceptance, and self-love.

This weekend's retreat was filled with vulnerability, courage, and love. Achieving balance and wellness is a daily practice 🤍✨
