What a great time we had at Happy Hill Day in Rocky Mount!

On July 3rd, Kevin Jones, Jamon Whitfield (School Board candidate) and I knocked on pretty much every door🚪in the Happy Hill community to let them know the Dems would be out signing folks up for the insulin affordability program. We dropped the lit we made, had great conversations (Kevin knows literally everyone😄), and met some wonderful people. A few days later, we were there and ready to go!

My thanks to Kevin Jones, the @NashDems, Ricky Crump for the food 🌭 @MatthewSperati (District Court Judge candidate) for the beverages🥤& all the candidates who joined us! I was able to get on the mic and stress the importance of voting 🗳 this year. We registered voters, talked about insulin 💉 & had a lot of fun! I also had my first-ever honeybun cake 🎂 DEEEELISH!

As usual, I'm late sharing all the great moments: the @NCDemParty Watch Party & tarmac to welcome Pres & FLOTUS, the Raleigh Rally & lunch w/ friends after, supporting the women candidates in Alamance, and the Drag Brunch at HQ. Dems are very busy 💙

Sometimes when the level of importance is greater than the consideration of the tone we get distracted in the message! Asking everyone to tune in @ 7:30p est for meet & greet w/ @morganforgovernor & @loracubbage4judge there’s a part WE ALL NEED to play‼️ <excuse the language but catch the message>

This Thursday @ 8pm on IG Live I have the honor of hosting a meet & greet to Justice @morganforgovernor candidate for Governor of NC & @loracubbage4judge candidate for NC Supreme Court. I’m looking to create the needed conversation across topics that we as a culture turn a blind eye to. A conversation that lead to action steps & effective change. We hope to have everyones support in tuning in. A conversation is where it starts, and action is where it will lead!

We have to understand for REAL change there has to be the proper leadership. Leadership where accountability can be held and representation is present for ALL. We have to become present in the rooms that matter! I believe in the voice of @morganforgovernor being the leader of choice. Not because of his color but of his moral compass & his resume as Supreme Court Judge. A resume NO OTHER candidate has! I encourage everyone to do one of two things, trust in what I say or do your own research. Both will lead to the answer being @morganforgovernor & for those who think it doesn’t matter has no clue to the fear that should/will exist if it’s NOT him!
