It’s giving besties for the resties and a braided bob that isn’t stiff. 🙂‍↕️✨ The Ton celebrated the Littlest Diamond of the Season is style, shared so many laughs and joy with family and friends. Also dropped in on the Kehlani tour spur of the moment and it was bomb. She performed the entire self-titled album and I got my life. “We can’t advance our community without advancing our collective knowledge” The homie @idrispitt blessed the clubhouse with books from his personal collection & we couldn’t be more excited. From authors Alice Walker & Ta-Nehisi Coates, to biographies about Patti Labelle & LL Cool J and even some deep text on spirituality & mathematics, the pieces are extensive. As we’re working to develop open hours in the space we welcome folks to pull up to the upcoming events where you can sit and discover a new read 📚 ALSO lol we’re not a library so, no, you can’t take these home BUHH if you see something you like @cindellesbooks has a you covered with a direct order #tanehisicoates #alicewalker #littlelibrary

No panels. No awkward networking. No pressure to “work the room.” Just good people, good energy, and a few uninterrupted hours to actually sit down and handle the things we’ve been putting off. Invoices got sent. Plans got made. Emails got answered. Ideas got worked through. And somewhere in between, people got to meet the folks working alongside them. That’s really what Threads of Impact: Admin Night is about — creating a little space to focus, reset, and get some shit done together. And we’re doing it again. 📅 Thursday, September 17 📅 Monday, September 28 ⏰ 6–9 PM 📍 Short Stay Clubhouse 🎟️ Free · Suggested donation 👥 20 spots per night · RSVP required If you’ve got a business plan, project, inbox, invoices, or a to-do list that’s been waiting on you… Come sit down with us. See you at Admin Night. 🧵

Be honest — is it getting done at home tonight? Or is Netflix about to win again. Admin Night is back. 6–9 PM, Short Stay Clubhouse, Rahway. Bring whatever you keep pushing to Saturday — the emails, the application, the thing that needs one uninterrupted sitting. This is what three hours of everybody locked in looks like. One of these days we’ll get a social media person to keep us on track with posting 🙂‍↕️. But for now, here’s the recap from our first Threads of Impact: Admin Night at the Short Stay Clubhouse in the @cityofrahway 📝. Thanks to @therosegawden for leading the charge and preparing an outline to keep everyone on track. This session was fully booked; And it was perfect. The group swung by the studio to lock in and knocked out their work. And, incase you were wondering, YES we were raised right, so studio hospitality wasn’t forgotten. We kept the energy flowing with some light bites. (Would love to work with future brands in the future to provide some pop-up eats 👀) And lastly, shouts out to @lovie.world and @thelotradio Summer School Radio series for keeping the vibes. We’ll see yall at the next on Aug 31st. (Details coming this weekend) 📸: @kaishon_ #professionaldevelopment #adminnight #shortstaystudio

The real story of Neighborhood Watch happened long before the projector turned on. Getting to watch @kaishon_, @nigerian_mitch, and the @short_stay_studio team build this experience over the last few months has been really special. One thing about Short Stay: they truly walk their talk. Every detail was rooted in care, intention, and community. Huge love to our vendors, collaborators, volunteers, background dancers, and everyone who came out and stayed with us until the rain said otherwise. And thank you to @bootsriley for helping make this screening possible. As he said himself, this is a film meant to be experienced in community—and laughing, reacting, and sitting with it together was something I’ll remember for a long time. That’s what really makes Neighborhood Watch unlike your average movie night. Keep an eye on what Short Stay builds next by joining the newsletter and broadcast channel. It’s only getting better from here. 💚🤍

🚨NEW DATE Saturday July 4th🚨 The weather is weathering 🙃 TELL EVERYONE ! We had to change the date due to bad weather but we’re still rocking out with the same funsies! ——— Neighborhood Watch: A Night Outdoors at the Yard is our Short Stay x NORTH TO SHORE kickoff — an open-air movie night bringing film, music, and community together in one of Newark’s favorite backyard spaces, @theyardnewark. We’re turning the space into a cozy outdoor cinema lounge: blankets, beanbags, couches, and chairs all facing one big screen. Teamed up with @galleryretail (the minds behind @newarkffr) for a silent cinema experience — you’ll watch through wireless headphones for crisp sound and a surprisingly intimate vibe, even surrounded by friends and strangers alike. 🌅 Sunset kickoff from Newark’s favorite sound curators 🎞️ Short Stay Shorts — a showcase of emerging filmmakers — before the main feature 🎶Stay for DJ Set after the credits! 🍔 Food, drinks, and local vendors all night It’s a new way to experience a movie night — something a little different, a little communal, made for showing up with your people and leaving with a new favorite spot.
