Finally got around to responding to the “shoot a card in half the hard way” challenge.

This was the second shot at about 5 yards, iron sights.

Killer in Maine still hasn’t been found.

Is he hiding in the wilderness?

Has he taken his own life?

Has he left the local area?

Will there be more violence?

This will be THE topic of conversation and commentary in the US until he is in custody or confirmed dead.

The talking points will include: a military service member, who is a “firearms instructor”, with an “assault style rifle”, who had mental health issues, in a small town, in a region with a high percentage of firearms owners and no “red flag law”.

Right now, the focus in New England needs to be on finding this killer. The rest of can take a moment to think about our gun owning friends & family members. Do we have a commitment to Proactive Mental Health Care and a plan for supporting each other? Have we thought about voluntarily removing access to firearms during times of mental health crisis?

Check in with yourself and your people.

@walkthetalkus offers starting points and 2A Friendly mental health resources.

Government Mandated Training is a bad idea.

While it the responsibility of every gun owner to be properly educated in the use of their firearms, it is not the government’s place to determine how that is done. Mandatory training is a very specific INFRINGEMENT.

Private Gun Making is still legal. The ATF has been fighting to make it harder for responsible Americans to engage in the hobby of building their own guns, but courts continue to uphold your rights… and the rights of companies like 80% Arms to sell products intended to make it easier and safer for you to make your own firearms.

Major Victory for 80 Percent Arms in the U.S. Court of Appeals!
.
We're proud to announce that the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld our injunction against the ATF. This decision reinforces your right to purchase 80% lowers and jigs.
.
To clarify: Post the Supreme Court's approval of the ATF’s New Rule, the ATF claimed past injunctions were null. We promptly countered in court. On October 2nd, 2023, the Fifth Circuit supported our position, maintaining our injunction.
.
We're now the only 80% router jig manufacturer still under this protection, given the ATF's continuous efforts against the 2nd Amendment. your unwavering backing has been our bedrock. Without it, we couldn't finance the costly but essential legal battles to safeguard our collective 2nd Amendment Rights. From the depths of our hearts, thank you.
