Eid Mubarak 🌙

Hello friends 👋 wishing all those who celebrate a wonderful Eid. I hope Ramadan was fulfilling for you all.

I’ve been reading this beautiful anthology put together by @mymliterature

It’s a collection of poems, short stories and memoirs by Muslim authors for Muslim readers.

This is one you read in order (like me) or jump around!

I’m so honoured to even own a copy of this! So much of the writing resonates with my core values. One in particular that really hit me hard was Mother To Tongue by Halah Butt.

I could sit here and list out all the quotes and all the tabs, but then this would be long winded 😂

Special shout out to @khanlibrary I’m so proud and honoured to be reading your published writing.

You’ve always been a writer, but having your work in my hands, in a physical copy, is surreal.

The Sunnah table will always be one of my favourite setups to work on.
There was something incredibly special about this one not just in its simplicity and beauty, but in what it represented.

The bride and groom having Palestine front and centre on their special day made this setup feel deeply personal and close to my heart. A reminder that even on our happiest days, we hold space for our brothers and sisters, for justice, for faith, and for humanity.
