Southern California’s premier trail races! #khraces [email protected]

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I went to check the course of the new Will Rogers race and tried Hyperlyte H1 calories + electrolytes for 4 hours.
If you like looped races or ever wanted to try one, I recommend the Will Rogers on 2/27/27 in Pacific Palisades. 10K, Half, 30K, 50K, 100M / solo or relay: 6H, 12, 12H
I liked Hyperlyte for its mild taste which can go for a long time.
I put half a pack in each bottle = 200 calories, 50g of carbs, 500mg of sodium, 100mg of potassium, 30mg of magnesium per bottle.
$39.99 for 6 packs = $3.33 per bottle. If you are unsure with what you are using at this time or are curious about something new give it a try!

****VFE PASADENA RELOCATION****

As of NOVEMBER 1st
VFE Pasadena will relocate to:

Pasadena Strength & Conditioning @pasadenastrong
253 N. Vinedo Ave., Ste.1
Pasadena, CA 91107

It’s time to say goodbye to “695”, and begin a new chapter & opportunity for our Pasadena team. We will post more details in the upcoming days & weeks. In the meantime, get familiar with the address & location. Eliminating the search for a parking spot will be huge. We will be providing our services in the upstairs loft. We won’t have pizza or coffee next to us, BUT we will have chiropractic services from Dr. David Lee @dr.davidlee & acupuncture service from Amir @amir.lac.cmt under the same roof. There will be several personal trainers available to connect with for various levels of training needs.

We will continue to conduct our services at our current location, for now, through the transition.

We are very excited about this fresh beginning, and look forward to continuing our journey with you. Stay tuned & keep your 👀’s alert for more info! Don’t hesitate to message your VFE Therapist directly to chat about our move. Let’s go! 💪🏽🙏🏼

Team VFE:
Rich @rich_lorton
Jonathan @paladintherapy
April @kineticmindfulness
Phill @phillosophyoftouch

You voted. I listened. Apparently neither of us read the fine print. 😂

Ray Miller it is. Except I wrote 50K in the poll, and what I actually meant was 50 MILES. A casual extra 19 miles. Small clerical error.

50 miles and 9,300 feet of climbing, and somehow I’m excited enough to write it on the calendar like it’s brunch.

I’ve been missing having something to train for. Now I have something, and apparently it’s a mountain.

Follow along for the training, the snacks, and whatever that couch reaction turns into once this sinks in. 🫠

2. “What an interesting question! A painting I’d have to say because of all the amazing view points along the course. Plenty of times you just stop running to pause and take it in”-Renee Janssen 3. “Oh my, if I were to compare Backcountry Rise to an artistic style I would say it would be in the abstract expressionist, Jackson Pollock vein. It’s something that may not make sense at first glance until you’re there really looking at it with honest eyes. You look at it, study it, experience it, take a step back from it, then embrace it…that’s where the beauty and magic is.” -Aaron Long. 4. “Oh definitely a painting. With sweeping ocean and coastal views, vast wilderness areas, and a summit to the highest peak in the Santa Monica mountains only a painting could capture its pure beauty!” -Kierra Henninger
5. “Um, that’s a tough one. I’d say a painting because the grandeur of seeing Lake Tahoe from 3,000 ft above it.”-George Ruiz 6. “ This is a great question, and a tricky one. Way Down We Go by KALEO feels especially fitting for the grand Traverse. It is powerful, brooding, and relentless-much like the long days and countless miles racers commit to long before they ever reach the start line, and the sustained effort required throughout the event itself. The song’s shifting intensity, mirrors the inevitable, dark moments along the course, when forward progress becomes more about resolve than speed. Its lyrics speak to reckoning with consequences and confronting personal challenges, themes that resonate deeply within the Grand Traverse community. Many racers choose this event to mark significant moments in their lives-another year of sobriety, a return to strength after childbirth, a milestone birthday, or simply the need to move through a difficult chapter. In that way, the song captures, not just the physical demands of the race, but the personal meaning, each participant carries with them across the mountains.” -Linsey Bachover

Fall marathon season doesn’t have to mean fighting for elbow room on a crowded city street 🍂

We rounded up 21 trail marathons worth lacing up for this fall, from red rock loops outside Moab to ridgelines over Lake Superior to a flat, fast PR-friendly course outside Chicago. Steep climbs, technical descents, way smaller fields, and a finish-line feeling road races just can’t match.

Whatever kind of fall marathon you’re chasing, there’s a race on this list for you, with dates, distances, and registration info for every one.
Full breakdown is on the latest Trailhead Media article now.
