Some things make me smile … thank you GOD for good horses, good people, mountains, and roping. It just fills me with love & happiness! Don’t be afraid to risk it. Life is to short and happiness is rare in this world. I’m so grateful that I went back and gave my 7 year old self a chance. Someone told me 4 years ago .. you have to go back to that kid you pushed aside and left behind. Find her and talk to her. I’m so glad I went back for her and tried to live the life she was made for and wanted along. I would not have changed the path I went down for anything. It was my journey, but I sure am glad I decided to chase the dream that always belonged to me. I’m grateful that I risked it. Could not be more happy,and proud. Even on rough days I’m sure glad I’m living this beautiful cowgirl life. 🐴❤️ #cowgirl Chase those dreams .. big and small. Whatever they are.. What did your 7 year old self want to be ?

✔️ it off list !! This was literally my first Rodeo. We came to play @carbondalewildwestrodeo 3rd out of 104 teams A night I’ll never forget! & So many more to come! The biggest thanks to my people !! This has been a dream come true. I first have to thank my friend and mentor Bull Austin! Thank you for helping me and believing in me Bull. My amazing husband (and biggest fan), and amazing family @sauterjd2 @grace.sauter @austin_sauter for loving me, supporting this dream and our horses! Love you all so much! @khstockdogs We made it girl, and it’s only the beginning for us! Thank you for sharing this journey with me and pushing me to do the uncomfortable work, and making sure we always kicked in the pants laughing along each and every day! @hmdc_design for always being my ride and die and sharing this dream with me. You never stop believing in me. I adore you my amazing friend. So much fun coming in our future rodeo nights! @addyhyatt cheering me on even when I miss. Helping with all the stepping stones. Watching and supporting me chase this dream and all the encouragement kept me happy smiling, and mostly getting out of my head. 😂 @camilla81611 for the support and faith you show up with every single day. Cheering us on and being with us in all the small and big moments! ❤️🐴 @paulawoodphoto thanks for literally making this night happen. To my boy Dexter - the unicorn 🦄! I’m so proud to be your family. You are a kind, beautiful, goofy, sweet, gentle, loving, silly, radiant, energy shifter who will forever have my heart. ❤️ You came into our life at the perfect time. It’s was like a door opened and you were waiting for me on the other side. It was the beginning of a beautiful journey. You gave me so much joy, and confidence from day one and still do. You are the guy that always shows up ready for whatever we have planned for you that day. My faithful boy that lets me try all the new things I want to try. Climbs the mountain that has no trail or clear path ahead. You still go and make the path for us. Gallops that big body even when you think you are tired. You always show up for all my crazy ideas and dreams. You love so unconditionally. Thank you Dexter for taking care of whoever we put on you and also being the BIGGEST best part of our family. I adore you dude ! I bought this boy from @rmohorses This team stands behind their horses for a reason. They are great horses sold and trained by great people. Sadly it’s not always that way in the horse world we live in, but they not only delivered the horse they said he was but they also have followed up and encouraged me along the way. They are also kind, and wonderful people. I’m really grateful for Dexter but also them … So thanks Joe @rmohorses ! You are also a unique unicorn! Appreciate you ! 🦄 @paulawoodphoto Thanks for always capturing the emotion in your work. It really is amazing. One day, Dexter said to LeeAnn “All my life I’ve heard stories about a place called Aspen, where the air and water that flows down from the mountains are fresh and clean like no other. And LeeAnn said to Dexter “You are an extraordinary creature and I want to make your dream come true. Let’s go breathe that crisp mountain air. Let’s go soothe our legs in the cold stream. And let’s bring friends to share it with!” And they did.

This is the crew, and these are some of the horses that carry us! What I love most about them all is .. ❤️ They make life better and so fun by simply being themselves .. @khstockdogs @addyhyatt @hmdc_design @luckyfish17 @camilla81611 They are the kind of people that cheer you on, show up, and want you to you achieve your dreams, and do not expect or want anything in return. We all work really hard at being great (not good), GREAT horse people. These animals also deserve their accolades for showing up for us and working hard as our partners. They too are always learning and growing. They all lift me up when I need it and push me to keep going, and I hope I do the same for all of them. All these people are talented, kind, kindred spirits in many so many ways .. including our love for these animals. On this day we honored the 250th celebration of America 🇺🇸, and also we celebrated each other. Let’s keep cheering, laughing, and growing friends. Days spent with horses can be some of the worst and some of the best days of your life. And the pendulum can swing in an afternoon. I am so glad I put aside my worry and said yes to the ride today. In life, you can find people who will lift you up when you need it. Thank you @leeannsauter and @khstockdogs for today. You guys rock.

We are quickly coming up on the best week of the year! Also my 1 year anniversary with my @silverspurranchidaho horse BOB, and my 6th year on the horse drive actually starts this year on my birthday. Last year was extremely special as I brought home Bob for my 50th, and to have a little part of @silverspurranchidaho always with me. This annual trip, the team/ friends/family, and this horse changed my life forever.. my gratitude is beyond words, or measure. I hope they all know that.. So a little about my Best Buddy Bob the super horse. Describing Bob was hard for me to put into words of my own before I wrote this letter to him and myself. What he has done for me in such a short time can only be described as a miracle. So I looked up the meaning of a “ War Horse” because this thought of him kept coming in my mind and it actually fit perfectly. A war horse symbolically represents immense power under control, embodying courage, resilience, and submission to a higher purpose in the face of danger. Spiritually, it signifies the transition from unbridled willfulness to disciplined, divine strength. Often, it represents a believer’s reliance on God’s power rather than human strength. I definitely became completely free when this horse entered my life.  He wrote the last chapter of my this part of my story. He took my dreams and let me double down. Riding into the mountains alone, and playing at full speed all at new levels. I could have never imagined feeling all of this overwhelming joy. Getting lost in the world with him daily makes me believe that once again anything is possible and the plan is greater than can be imagined. He got me over that last part of healing I needed to get past. He gifted me the final piece of the puzzle to stop any worry from taking over in my mind. He made that happen for me and I’m forever grateful. We chased the sun and ran from the storms. He makes my life feel like a movie .. running with reins down and like train coming around a track, always with a tear in my eye from the gratitude I have.. you are my North Star buddy ..sent from god as my angel.
