There’s nothing worse than the feeling of not knowing where your dog is — running through every worst-case scenario in your head and wishing you could rewind the clock.
After losing track of Kicker recently while we were on a trail run, that feeling hit way too close to home.
That’s a big reason I’ve been using the @halocollar. Out here at the Muse Ranch, we have 60 acres and a whole lot of room for Kicker to explore. With Halo, I can create wireless boundaries right from my phone, and once properly trained, the collar uses sound and vibration cues as he approaches the boundary to let him know it’s time to turn around.
It gives Kicker the freedom to roam while helping me keep him safely within the areas I’ve set for him.
After experiencing what it feels like to have your best friend disappear, having an extra layer of protection and peace of mind means a whole lot more.

On the @museranch we’re having all kinds of new experiences and meeting new creatures. @kickerdogmuse is still getting the hang of making friends. He’ll figure it out. I hope. #goldenretriever #cutedog #funnydog #cute #offgrid

Honestly, nothing beats Montana and Wyoming in the transition season. Looking forward to spending some quality time here next month 🤌

#TeamBronco_Ambassador - We have been putting the @FordBronco to work on the Ranch! Since moving out here, we’ve put it to work on just about everything—hauling gear, bouncing from project to project, exploring miles of forest roads, and even using the Pro Power Onboard to run a ventilation system while I cleaned out the water tank housing. There have been some incredible highs, plenty of projects that felt way bigger than expected, and a few moments where all we could do was shut the tools down, jump in the Bronco, and go remind ourselves why we took this leap in the first place. That might be my favorite thing about this rig. It’s just as at home getting dirty and helping us make this place as it is pointing toward the mountains when we need an adventure. We’re putting the Bronco Raptor® to work at Muse Ranch—and I have a feeling we’re only getting started. #FordAmbassador #BroncoRaptor #MuseRanch #offgrid

#TeamBronco_Ambassador Over the last decade, Ford vehicles have taken us on more incredible adventures than I could ever count - from Alaska to Baja and deep into some of the most untamed places in between. That makes it especially exciting to celebrate @Ford being awarded #1 in Initial Quality Among Mainstream Brands in the U.S. by JD Power.* My @FordBronco SUV has become so much more than a vehicle. It’s the platform that helps us discover new areas, chase new experiences, and bring some pretty ambitious adventures to life. I can’t wait to see where it takes us next.

*Ford received the lowest rate of reported problems among mass market brands in the JD Power 2026 U.S. Initial Quality Study of new vehicle owners’ experiences after 90 days of ownership. Visit jdpower.com/awards for more information. Awards baed on 2026 model year. Newer models may be shown.

This dog, a rocking chair, and a cup of coffee. The sunrises as we listen to birds and squirrels starting their busy day. There’s is nothing in the world I would trade this for. #cabinlife #homestead #museranch #thegoodlife #goldenretriever

Writing this through soggy eyes.

This is all I need.

Coffee on the deck of the cabin. @kickerdogmuse by my side. Mountains, trees, quiet, and a place that already feels home is as good as it gets for me. Kicker is by far the most meaningful.

The thought Immediately brings me to tears.
Kicker is getting older. I know he won’t be here forever. He’s been beside me through so many chapters of my life, just like Booter was before him. These dogs have given me more than I could ever put into words. The intense amount of love and joy is beyond measure. I’m trying to be present for this chapter. To not rush through the mornings like this. To appreciate the simple moments while I’m still in them.
I’m so grateful for this life, for this place, and most of all for this dog.
I hope I can continue to honor both Kicker and Booter by living fully, loving deeply, and giving Kicker the absolute best life I possibly can. #dogslife #goldenretriever #love #museranch #homestead

How’s @kickerdogmuse settling into living on @museranch you might ask yourself. 60 acres. Surrounded by national forest. Off grid. He is thriving. I can’t imagine a better life for a golden retriever. So incredibly grateful and still is disbelief that this is real. #goldenretriever #ranchlife #homestead #happydog #adventuredog
