Parenting on empty is a feeling most of us know too well.

The endless negotiations. The resistance. The mornings when you just need shoes on and the bath times when you just need them in.

Since becoming a Mum, I see the world a little differently. I notice the kindness, the invisible load, the way mums are sometimes seen as “in the way”, and that the way my body looks is the least interesting thing about it. I also see the magic in the everyday… even if I still don’t understand why the ceiling fan is so bloody exciting.
