Working with @a_new_plane on constructing this ball gown by Charles Worth c. 1887 for Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion (2024) @metmuseum was incredible for a myriad of reasons, the knowledge of the conservators, the collaboration between different designers/ artists, the expert skills - all of it!

The original piece has inherent vice, meaning the way it was constructed/ materials used is leading to its eventual deterioration. The gown cannot be displayed on a mannequin. The challenge was to construct a digital twin true to the original garment.

Made up to have been a part of the process [more about that in another post] that brought this piece to life. I am still blown away by the result! The development, rendering & embroidery by @kill_kyll 🤌

So thankful to @tom_wandrag @romcvague @calumkingsleyknight @nick_knight for bringing me into the fold.
