I’m a whole 27 years old, and I’ve never had a Valentine’s before.

I know it’s something super trivial, “There’s more important things to be sad about” BUT for me, it’s on a long list of things that I’ve always wanted but experienced.
As someone who is on social media alllll the time…for fun (and now for work lowkey?) it’s hard to not get in my feelings when I scroll on my timeline, and see all the cute sh*t that people get from their boos for V-Day.

HOWEVER (there’s a point to this long caption I promise), this year I wanted to flip the switch on my mindset about Valentine’s Day, and was adamant about celebrating it rather than avoiding it like I usually do.
SOOO I pitched the idea of hosting a Galentine’s Day event, anddddd this past Sunday it actually happened. 50+ beautiful women showed up to have fun, dress up, meet new people, solely based on a video that I posted. I’m still at a loss for words, but thank you to everyone who came. My heart is so full.

Here’s to more events?

Context for the second slide: I held the event at the Graduate Berkeley hotel, and was honored to get a gifted stay from them. HOWEVER, I didn’t expect them to decorate my room….and with all this. Like I’ve never ever had anyone do this for me before, and I’ll never forget this.
