Last Vendor Introductions!

@eliseaskonasart
Elise Askonas is a fine artist and tattoo artist local to Johnson City, TN. They work in a mixture of mediums from drawing, painting, and printmaking. As a painter, they are fascinated by the human form and painting symbiotic and nurturing relationships. As a tattoo artist, they strive to collaborate with the body as a canvas, to contour and shape as a client desires, and explore the relationship between human connection and natural form. As a trans non binary creator, Askonas delves into the world of realism and abstract to capture a feeling of connection, discovery, and confusion.

Big thanks to @theeventspace_avl for letting us practice the rigging for Sweater Weather! Once we got the right size ladder -the first one was too small (sometimes size does matter) - we successfully rigged!

The show is just two weeks away, get your tickets now so I can gather your song requests before the show!

Thank you, Radford, for giving us a whole day of unforgettable moments. The last golden days of summer are fading into something richer… amber light, crisp air, the kind of evenings that beg for something extraordinary. Art doesn't follow seasons. It just shifts, like late-August sunlight fading into September golds. If your fall event needs a soul, if you want your guests to feel that same wide-eyed wonder under string lights and harvest moons… let's talk. Got an autumn celebration that needs a little more "wow" You know where to find us.

✨ REWIND: Radford Community Fest 2026 ✨ The streets of Radford came alive on August 22nd, and we're still catching our breath. Wings on the ground. Wings in the sky. Stilt walkers towering above the crowd. Bubbles drifting through the summer air like little pockets of magic. This wasn't just a festival; it was a mood. Fluidity Performance brought the full experience to East Main Street: roaming performers weaving through the crowd, juggling acts that stopped people mid-step, and those moments where a stranger locks eyes with a 9-foot stilt walker in wings and just… smiles.

This is what we do. We don't add entertainment to your event. We alter the physics of the room, or in this case, the whole street. Thank you, Radford, for letting us be part of something beautiful. Until next time. 🦋

Performer Announcement 2!

Kim is a multi-disciplinary circus performer and coach with a specialty in making gravity her bitch. She chooses to triumph over that overwhelming force via contortion and vertical apprarati. Ever since she learned how to climb fabric, in 2014, she has hardly been able to come out of the air. While living in the Chicago suburbs, Aloft Circus Arts was her circus home. There she worked with aerial and flexibility coaches: Hayley Larson, Natalie Abel, and Julie Marshall. In 2021 she started training full time at the renowned New England Center for Circus Arts, where she switched her focus to contortion under the guidance of Stephanie Abrams.

From 2022–2024, Kim performed as a company artist with Caroline Calouche & Co, further honing her stagecraft through ensemble work and theatrical circus productions. In 2025, she debuted her self-produced pop-up gallery and performance project, I Am Woman, Watch Me Bleed, an exploration of contortion as feminist protest art, using the body as a medium to amplify conversations about autonomy and resilience.

As an adult sized child, Kim just wants to have fun and do cool stuff! To her that means big dynamic movements, death defying drops, intricate wraps, and splits for claps (ha that rhymes)! She enjoys creating high energy acts with a lot of personality and a healthy helping of corny humor.

When this bendy babe doesn’t have her feet over her head, she enjoys spending time at home with her husband and their dog. Their activities include but are not limited to eating food, watching reruns, and “attempting photosynthesis.”

Sweater Weather is a circus show where the audience has a voice! This is the first seasonal show by Big Hop Circus, a small troupe of go getters that distinctively decided: Asheville does not have enough circus.

Throughout the venue you will see QR codes that will prompt you, the audience, to request songs for the second half of the show.

Doors open at 6pm - get here early, grab a seat, grab a beer, and peruse some local art vendors.

Show Starts at 7pm - the show will be about 80 minutes long including a 20 min intermission.

Some acts will be choreographed; some will be improvised to songs you request! Once you purchase your ticket, we will email you asking for your song request. We will assemble a playlist with the requested songs. When it is time for an improvised act we will hit shuffle on the playlist. The artist will not know the song until they are on stage! How deliciously chaotic!

Post show there will be time to make final purchases from the vendors as well as meet the performers!

Come hang out to support local circus artists, check out work from local artisan vendors, and grab a beer while you’re here.

Thanks to @lydiatewks for the sweater flyer sketch!
