Spring has arrived, summer is around the corner and we are excited to announce our next Ticket Club adventure, in partnership with Belvoir St Theatre. ✨🌷🎭

Join us for The Coconut Children, the much-anticipated stage adaptation of Vivian Pham’s hit debut novel!

Set in Cabramatta in 1998, this is the story of Sonny and Vince, 16 year-olds who have known each other since childhood. While Sonny lives in a world of imaginary love affairs and nineteenth century novels, Vince has done it harder. He is home after two years in juvenile detention and now he and Sonny are back in each other’s lives. The Coconut Children is a story of old values, new possibilities and coming of age.

After the show, stay back for a conversation with Vivian Pham and her sister Kim Pham, writer and 2026 Patrick White Playwrights Award finalist, hosted by our associate artist Pratha Nagpal. Make the most of this rare opportunity to hear from the Pham sisters as they talk all things writing, ideas and the importance of celebrating those around you.
