POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Senator Kim Jackson is the definition of a public servant. She not only advocates for our communities on the Senate floor, but she also shows up and does the work on the ground. As the first Black lesbian elected to the Georgia Senate, she continues to break barriers while being a consistent voice for the people and fighting for a more inclusive future.

We’re proud to recognize Senator Jackson as a member of the Threads of Change Host Committee and are grateful for her continued commitment to uplifting and empowering our communities.

Where were y’all 4 years ago? ❓Maybe you were hanging out with us, celebrating the launch of our Out Down South exhibit at the Center for Civil and Human Rights! The outdoor, interactive installation featured beautiful portraits of our Honored Subjects, alongside short segments of their oral history interviews, accessible via QR code. 🎧

This free exhibit was open to the public for a year, sharing stories of the incredible LGBTQ+ Atlantans who helped shape this city!

Our project has grown a bunch since then–and in the coming year, we’re building a traveling version of this exhibit! 🌍🌈

Where should we take it? 🤔

It was a fun and full day in Tucker!

State Senator Kim Jackson stopped by for some coffee, Mayor Lerner got to meet our cow gifted by DeKalb County and County Commissioner Dr. LaDena Bolton came by the Tucker Northlake CID’s One Northlake Plan Open House.

Thank you to Lauren Waits, Art Gambill, Gerri Goodman, Michael Kramer, and Ashani Johnson Turbes for hosting a wonderful fundraiser for our campaign this past Sunday featuring some of my favorite women representatives: Congresswoman Lucy McBath, Senator Kim Jackson, and Representative Stacey Evans. I am so grateful for these women who have been role models for me and whom I admire more and more after each interaction. It was a lovely afternoon of engaging conversation and great food in Lauren and Art’s beautiful home filled with wonderful art. I enjoyed meeting new supporters and loved hearing how fired up people are for this election. There is good energy out there. Let’s go!

Every day, we move closer to flipping HD 46.
