My favorite lunch spot in SoDo! Jack’s BBQ all day!!! Today I had their rich meaty chili and introduced Kim and April. Kim had the special, a queso drenched beef dip sandwich. April had enough to take home a full leftover meal to her husband. Everything I’ve eaten here is delectable. Thanks Jack’s BBQ!

This young woman, right here, @coweringcrow has been a gift on the farm and just blew me away with the biggest surprise I think anyone has ever pulled on me! Recently, she asked me if I had a vision or dream of the next expansion or venture for this farm. I shared that I ALWAYS dreamed of getting a @harvest_right freeze dryer particularly to expand my herb and edible flower offerings. Well…. Behind my back she pulled together fundraising from all kinds of friends, family and business colleagues of mine as well as her own family to GIFT ME one of these freeze dryers. I’m blown away that all these folks could keep a secret so well. That she did this at all. And that all these folks came together in support of me. Just WOW. I cried in the restaurant when she revealed the surprise. EVERYONE who contributed to helping Kira, either financially or with helping her connect to people… THANK YOU. You’ve burst my heart wide open with all your love and support. And Kira…. Girl, I just don’t even know what to say in gratitude. Nothing I EVER expected from a WWOOFer— I’m speechless beyond this post and soooo grateful for what you’ve given this farm.
