How lucky were we to be on the Savannah during The Great Migration? We saw THOUSANDS of zebra and wildebeests. Very thankful for time enjoying creation (ya’ll know I love time outside) and seeing the vast expanse of the Savannah, untouched and free.

Looking at these photos feels unreal. We did this! And yes, we did bless the rains down in Africa.

It’s not easy to answer when I’m asked “how was your trip to Kenya?”. I wish you could have gone with me to understand. I am impacted by the universal language and love of God. It really brings heaven closer to earth.

A highlight for me was taking this trip with my girl, @marly.jordan and watching her God given gifts at work. I’m so proud of her and her heart for Jesus and others. I’m confident that as she grows, this trip will always be in her heart and she will remember and be grateful.

We have everything yet can be so discontented. The people of Migori County get it and have given me new eyes of gratitude. Lord, I long for their hunger, their gratitude, and their contentment. Thank you, God for all of your provisions and help us to remember those who don’t have…their next meal, a husband that values them the way Jesus intended, healthcare, a bed to sleep, clean water, a place of worship, means for education, a safe place for their family. I’m in awe of what we got to experience in Kenya and I will never be the same again.

When you ask a child, who is close to your son’s age and has spent over half of his life in an orphanage, for the lyrics to his favorite song, and that is what he sings, it has a way of waking you up.

Thank you Jesus for letting me experience the beauty and the power and the joy of your closeness to your people in Kenya.

I could post 100 photos from our time in the Migori village this week. Ive always heard things are different in Africa - the people and the land are beautiful and God is NEAR. I’ve never seen people more fervent in prayer. We saw literal miracles happen. I got to see my friends use their gifts in ways they never thought they would.

What we hoped would be 400 people in this small village ended up being over 700 people and they were all fed, prayed over and cared for. Women received sugar, soap, and sanitary pads but I think we all left more blessed after seeing the way they worshipped and prayed. All week sang a song called “Look What the Lord Has Done” and it was truly an anthem for our time there.

We will all be forever marked by this time and i’m blown away at all Delta, Bayli and the Take Heart team do in Kenya. What a gift!

🇰🇪 KENYA POST 2: THE DREAM TEAM ✨ 💪

Assembling a group of women to take on the inaugural Kenya trip was something I prayed over intensely. Group chemistry is imperative. This group was literal perfection.

Allison, BA, Eleanor, Ida, Julie, Kim, Marly, Rachel, Tara, Tori and Victoria were a DREAM. Not a single bad attitude was had. Everyone helped in any way they could and then some.

🇰🇪 KNOWN KENYA 2026 🇰🇪

I don’t know that I’ll ever have all the words to describe the last few days (fair warning, this will be the first post of many). For starters, Delta has asked me to come with her to Kenya for YEARS. Fear and anxiety kept me from saying yes for a long time. But last year, when Delta brought Known to Kenya, I knew enough was enough. It was time.

In the weeks leading up to leaving, I was tried with every temptation to back out. I still can’t quite believe this all really happened. But now, on the flight home, I am in awe of all God did.

Kenya is beautiful and lovely and the Kenyan people are smart and wise and warm. They have captured my heart. There is something truly freeing about going out of your comfort zone and saying “Yes” to Jesus. He meets us at the places where our only surety is Him.

In the past several days, I’ve felt the presence of God stronger than I have in ages. I was reminded that I am formed for freedom, not fear. I was filled with the joy of the Lord. I was re-energized in my calling to help women find Jesus.

Known means that nothing or no one can define you, only Jesus. This is true for every woman who attends our conference each year in Florida, or Kenya, or anywhere! One moment with Jesus can do more than a lifetime of striving ever could!

More on the conference, Take Heart, and the amazing Access team soon! For now, I’m just grateful. To the glory of God!
