At an elopement, it can be a single slice shared on a cliff at sunset, a small round cake from your favorite local bakery, or a box of pastries you pick up on the way to the ceremony.

When it’s just the two of you (or a handful of people who matter most), the cake stops being about impressing a crowd and becomes one more small, personal ritual of the day.

Choose the flavor you actually love, the size that actually makes sense, and let that be enough.

A NOD TO YIA MAS AT OUR WEDDING ON AMORGOS🏺 An anniversary share! I did not set out to have a Yia Mas wedding in any way, but when we were planning the gifted Psimeni Raki (traditional spiced drink of Amorgos), my brilliant planner @christy.lagiou suggested adding Yia Mas to the tag. And it just made sense…. as most of our followers know, Yia Mas means cheers. Then we said, why not add matching custom labels to the table wine just to be cheeky? 🤭

Our wedding flowers and colors also wound up being the classic Yia Mas greens and peachy earth tones. It just kind of happened. Thank you again, Christy, for talking me out of the muted whites I initially chose and into something that filled the traditional Cycladic space that is Agia Paraskevi with COLOR. And thank you to my talented friend @ahleeshr for designing the labels!

Just a few shots of the Yia Mas flavored details 🏺🌿 in my feelings looking back on this day, can’t wait to share more about the traditions we honored and, most importantly, the love and fun in the air on August 30th.

it’s easy to get overwhelmed by trends these days, but your wedding should feel like you and no one else ✨
