My path to aviation didn’t start with a lifelong plan; it started with a conversation in a hair salon. I had always been fascinated by airplanes, but I never truly imagined myself in the cockpit until I met my hairdresser, who was putting herself through flight school. Watching someone so relatable chase that dream made it feel possible for me, too. At her encouragement, I took a discovery flight, and from that moment on, I was hooked. That single flight changed the trajectory of my life.

I began my career on the ground at Signature Flight Support, learning aviation from the ramp up and working my way through the ranks. My first jet job flying the Eclipse 500 opened the door to corporate aviation, followed by the G3 and G4. Today, I’m honored to serve as a Captain on the Airbus A320 with Spirit Airlines, where I value teamwork, leadership, and creating a safe, welcoming flight deck every day.

Community has always been just as important to me as flying. I’m proud to connect with and support women in aviation through Lady Aviators, and I’ve spent more than a decade volunteering with Junior League, giving back to the communities that have supported me along the way.

When I’m not flying, you’ll usually find me exploring somewhere new. Travel has become one of my greatest joys, and I’ve visited over 50 countries (many solo) experiences that have strengthened my independence, curiosity, and love for people and cultures around the world.

Aviation has given me so much, and I hope my story reminds other women that sometimes all it takes is one small moment of encouragement to realize you belong in the sky, too.

I mean.. what a year! This year has been both hard and amazing & genuinely I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have lost relationships with people but gained new ones as well some that were just reconnecting. I have lost myself but found, grown, and learned from myself as well. I have lost opportunities while joining exciting projects as well. I have graduated, cried, laughed, loved, & matured in so many ways. To everyone who has impacted me both in a positive way or negative way thank you. I have learned so much. Because what is life without heartbreak, happiness, sadness, excitement, anger, frustration, ambition, kindness, etc. life would simply be meaningless. Forever grateful I have lived another year on this planet and have builded so many connections. Let the next year be filled with more growth, more emotions, and many more memories. 🤍
