Exclusive Event: 1950s Fashion Catwalk & Talk 👠✨

Our members enjoyed a lovely time during our fabulous event starring @kimthemuse as our special guest in this ‘1950s Catwalk & Talk’ in celebration of @londonfashionweek .

Families & friends joined in too for the fun of watching a show full of theatrical fashion, including our beloved members of staff - from hospitality, to the care team & the lifestyle team - right on our site!

Followed by this, a Talk: with lifestyle team and starring guest, Kim. An opportunity to face our in-house audience and share touching discussions on all things fashion & laughter! Kim, a local lady of Belgravia shared with us her inspiring journey on how she remains so incredibly involved in the fashion world.

Afternoon tea and snacks tempting all guests and members to get together and enjoy an artisanal selection from Head Chef & our Kitchen team.

“Although people often assume I have a link to fashion or fashion history, it is simply my daily choice of clothing! Heaven knows where it came from, as my mother lives in jeans and has not even possessed a skirt for twenty years. So, it was a great surprise to her when I showed
determined dress opinions from an early age.

I went to full-time ballet school, wanting to be a dancer, until 12 when my ill health made it clear I could not pursue that. I never danced again from that moment.

However, dependency on dressmakers and tailors began because it was hard to find clothes that fitted well, being small. Now I cannot imagine any other way!

If one finds a maker who understands one’s look and life, it is
a marvellous experience.

Wonderful to see friends,clients, colleagues and neighbours at the opening party of my new atelier!🥂🍾🥂
Amongst them the one and only theatrical millinery queen Jane Smith @janethehat. She made the hats for a fashion show I had at Claridge's some 20 years ago and I subsequently did some classes with her.

We’re thrilled to see everyone enjoying the Winter Pavilion at Sloane Square! It’s Chelsea’s go-to festive spot to grab a drink from @royalcourttheatre’s chalet and enjoy live performances under the twinkling lights.

This Thursday 28 November, catch The Sweet Spots from 5-7pm! Kerri’s soulful vocals + Lottie’s jazzy sax = a touch of old Hollywood glamour. It’s a jazz and swing treat you don’t want to miss.

The @decorativefair has now closed its doors and we sure had an amazing stream of visitors since its opening on Tuesday.
Thank you Cally and your amazing team for having us and we look forward to see you again in May.
A huge thank you to everyone helping set it up and to all the many curious guests at our stand that were intrigued and fascinated by the artworks.

This, the final hat in My Favourite Things Collection’Dearest Marie’ dedicated to my incredible tutor Marie O’Regan who very sadly passed away earlier this year.

It’s also dedicated to Rose lovers everywhere. I thought I’d save this one for last… as @rhschelsea opens today what better time to think of the beauty around us .
