POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Happy WIP Wednesday! I’m knitting up a modified #tracklinesweaterjunior from @nash.knits for my daughter by request to replace a favorite sweater she outgrew. I’m using up various skeins she’s picked out over the years—some @labienaimee from @avfkw and some deliciously neon @kindred.red yarns. I’ve modified the pattern for stripes and color blocking, and like her inspo, I’m adding a little peplum. She better love it! What are you knitting?

Ardent Tee by @kindred.red knitted using @savannahrosehandmade Daisy DK in Angels Wouldn't Help You, Blue Velvet and Spice Horizon from the David Lynch Forever collection!! 👼🌀🌞

I made a size 4 and used two skeins each of Angels Wouldn't Help You + Blue Velvet and a small portion of Spice Horizon. So if you're like me and can't decide what yarn to get from Savannah this is the perfect pattern!! 😂

I love picking colors from my stash for projects like the 555, especially when it is a sample set and I get to put together a full visual story 🎨

All of these are from my stash (not sponsored or anything) and I wanted to shout out some of the dyers! I love that this is a single skein project so I got to use some of my precious single and partial skeins for these.

September may be here, but we’re not ready to let go of the flowers just yet 🌸

Lucy rounded up seven floral knitting patterns that will keep things blooming well beyond summer, from colorwork socks and fingerless mitts to some seriously fun statement sweaters.

Swipe through to see them all. We’d happily make room in our queues for more than one of these. Which one is catching your eye?

Patterns featured:

🌺 Harvest Flower Sweater by Jessie Maed Designs
🌼 Crazy Daisy Cardigan by Bea Fischer-Harrison
🪻 Forget-Me-Not Jumper by Florence Miller
🌸 Pressed Flowers by Amy Christoffers
🌼 Lackadaisical by Kindred Red
🌺 Field of Poppies sock set by Stone Knits
🌸 Make Myself Flowers Vest by Vexnot Studio

Yes I’m obsessed with cardigans and this one takes the cakeeeee 😮‍💨 🎂
I have listed these fun 50s for this cardigan RTS under the Midway Collection! You can also find the MC linen under the Midway collection (pattern not included so you will need to figure out your own yardage in the description)

Would you like to make yourself a beautiful jumpsuit, just in time for summer? Then join one of my workshops!

We will be making The Penny ezp Jumpsuit or Playsuit (with shorts) in a 3 day course.

We start with the basics - how to measure yourself and someone else, how to adjust a paper pattern so that it’s unique for your body and how to choose fabric that works for different patterns. Then I’ll teach you how to cut out fabric properly, tips and tricks for sewing (straight lines 🫠) By the end of the course you will have sewn 2 concealed zips, finished a lined bodice with an interesting armhole (‘armscye’) design and have a ‘wearable toile’ that you can wear through the summer!

We also go through adaptions you can make to the pattern - changing the leg shape or adding sleeves, for example (we won’t have time to do everything in the course but I will be able to give some individual help for your future makes!)

What we do cover is how to change the back of the bodice to cover your bra (if you want to). The first image is a beautiful Penny made by @kindred.red and the second blue jumpsuit on the left of the poster shows @kate.can.make.that - both made really interesting adaptions to the bodice shape!

The workshops will be at @verkstan_pa_kajen in Årstadal 🧡

April 7th and we have snow coming down here in Massachusetts - I’m trying to use bright colors to ward it off!

🌸This is just a simple triangle scarf: I cast on one stitch, knit in garter and increased by one stitch every other row

The reviews are all true...this is probably one of the best designed basic sweaters and quick to knit! I recommend!!
🧶 by @hobbii_yarn and @kindred.red - Touch Fuzzy Get Dizzy 🌀 I'm forcing myself to use yarn in my stash ive been hoarding and was happy with how this combo worked!

sometimes I knit for my daughter, and *sometimes* she actually wears what I knit her. Swipe for proof!
#alwaysforeverunicornsweater @woolandbeyond
I knit the equivalent of a size 5/6, and I should have knit the next size up! It’s pretty cropped on her, but I think it’ll work well with dresses.
Main yarn is @kindred.red , a tweedy sock I held double and have had in my stash for ages. The mane yarn is actually the same as the white unicorn, but I let my daughter color it using fabric markers. So fun! I feel like I’m starting to get the hang of intarsia.

Just as soon as I give myself permission to not create, the ideas come pouring in 😂 isn’t it funny how we can hold ourselves back with expectation?

Leaning into the idea of creating as a means for expression, I’m playing with a new design that’s already bringing me so much joy!!
