Let’s be honest…your stroller is your coparent, even when the other parent is there. 😅 It’s your storage, your rest spot, your nap spot. The place with the fans when it’s hot. And your kids bed, when they can’t hang anymore. The difference between an easy day and a meltdown.

Walking at Disney is a sport no matter the location. Whether you’re in the parks, Disney Springs, Downtown Disney…you can be pulling 20,000+ steps a day! Those little legs can’t hang for that long and the kiddos deserve a comfortable ride.

You can rent from the parks directly at individual day pricing or pay less per day if you rent all your days at once. If your kids are picky stroller riders, bringing your own or renting one similar to what they’re used to may be the way to go! But there are size restrictions and wagons are prohibited unless medically necessary and approved!

@kingdomstrollers is always our go to for our stroller rentals. They have great strollers for single and double as well as if you’re needing additional transportation in the parks. They cover all of the basics and always include a stroller rain cover because if you’ve gone on vacation to Disney enough times you absolutely know you will need that cover.
They include great information for each stroller and can help you make the best decision for which one works for you.

You don't need to put it off, you don't need to wait till you can go without car seats, you don't need to wait till your kids are easier, you have to wait till you aren't nursing, you don't have to take grandparents or a nanny with you- you CAN do it!

We've done a plane, beach, Disney trip with a 4 month old, 3, 6, 8 & 10 year old, by ourselves. AND WE LIVED to say, you should too! I remember thinking it would be too hard but honestly, it was one of our favorite trips!
.
Trust me- you can spend time with your kiddos in an airport, on a plane, at a hotel, in a car, on the beach, by the pool, at Disney just like you do at home!
.
There are going to be fits, going to be tears and arguments, there are going to be things that go wrong, set that expectation because it's JUST LIKE AT HOME- BUT your kids will thank you some day for saying, we are saving and we are going.
.
Prioritize time with your family. It's precious and special and someday your kids will look back and remember that special vacation mom and dad took them on and the memories will flood. As Nike says, just do it.

If we were planning a Disney trip with kids …these are the things we’d put in the planning group chat!

Our first-timer must-knows:

✨ Plan your park days before booking everything else
🥞 Instacart order day 1 for breakfasts and snacks
🍿 Pack snacks
🛞 Rent a stroller from @kingdomstrollers
🧊 Bring a cooler bag + Ziplock bags for ice
☔️ Pack for Florida rain
⌚️ MagicBands - get them!!!
📸 Memory Maker is worth it
🍿 Get the popcorn bucket day 1 (or borrow from a friend)
🎁 Give the kids a souvenir budget via Disney gift cards

And remember: you don’t have to do everything. Some days we snack until lunch, some days we book a big meal, and some days we just go with the flow.

✨MAGIC KINGDOM DAY 1✨

We were running on approximately 3hrs of sleep after waking up at 3:30am the day before… but somehow the excitement of taking 12 people to Disney completely overruled the exhaustion. 😂

And if you’re staying at the Grand Floridian, take advantage of that monorail. We were the FIRST people at the monorail that morning, which meant we were first in line to get into Magic Kingdom for rope drop. 👏🏻
Being able to hop on the monorail right at the hotel and head straight to Magic Kingdom is SUCH a perk.

And apparently we woke up and chose ✨MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY✨ because we knocked out:
🎢 Seven Dwarfs
🐻 Winnie the Pooh
🐘 Dumbo
✈️ Barnstormer
🧜‍♀️ Ariel

… before 9am

And that was just the beginning because we rode Tiana’s TWICE and Seven Dwarfs TWICE that day. If you’re trying to maximize rides, my biggest advice is: GET THERE EARLY. Like, earlier than you think you need to. Disney Resort guests get Early Theme Park Entry, and those first couple of hours can be GOLDEN for getting on the big attractions.

Then came lunch at Skipper Canteen - one of our favorite meals of the day. I went with soup + salad, which was exactly what I needed after all that running around. It’s also such a fun break because you get to sit down, cool off, and actually EAT instead of surviving on snacks.

And then…
🌨️THE RAIN CAME

Like POURING

We were safely inside eating, so naturally I sent Eric outside to save the bookbag and strollers.

He came back absolutely SOAKED. 😂😂😂

Which obviously resulted in a very serious marital disagreement that definitely had nothing to do with the fact that I was dry and he looked like he’d had just swam across Seven Seas Lagoon. 🙃

After that? Ponchos. The rest. Of. The. Day.

But honestly? It became part of the memory. ❤️

We were exhausted. We got rained on. We rode an absurd number of rides. We ate good food. We laughed. We argued over a soaked husband 😂… and we had the BEST first day at Magic Kingdom.

And that’s my biggest Disney advice: have a plan, get there early, but leave room for the ridiculous stuff. Because those are usually the moments you end up remembering most. ✨

Day 1 of Disney Dozen complete! ❤️

Travel with us to Orlando as a family of four 🫶🏼
With timestamps so if you’ve not done it before you can use this as a rough guide 🤭

We travelled with our 3.5 year old and 6 month old to Orlando with @virginatlantic from Heathrow. Our 3.5 year old has been doing this trip yearly since he was 5 months old but this was definitely his most difficult flight yet! Our 6 month old was so chilled apart from the fact she only napped 25 minutes a time 🙈

Super early start to catch the 8.05 flight from @heathrow_airport to @flymco ✈️

Breakfast at The Curator in terminal 3 😋
& yes I took a bite before I took a photo 😅 I’m not a person who lets the camera eat first 👀

We were told our gate would be announced at 7:10 but after breakfast we saw our status changed to boarding so off we went 😅

I feel like as a family setting yourself up for a flight is like setting up camp for the night 😅 so many essentials needed!

Fed and fell asleep on take off but the fomo got to her and she woke up 🙈

Ordered baby food for Aurora just in case as we’ve started weaning and they bought out so much!

This pudding is SO good!

Lasted a couple hours before we had to get the toys out. We got this set of mini magnatiles for our trip last year and it’s such a good travel set!

Hoping a contact nap would help her sleep longer but nope 🤣

This was soooo good!!

Occupied ourselves whilst both the boys slept with some toys and smiling at other passengers 👀

I do love an afternoon tea but the sandwiches were not for me 🙈 I wasn’t leaving the scone behind 👀

Russell entered a colouring competition and they put together little prize bags for them which was so sweet!

Finally 🙌🏼

They took forever to get the luggage out to everyone so it was quite a wait and we were thankful to get to the car!
We used Discount Florida Car Hire and chose to rent with @alamorentacar 🚗 skipped the queue by checking in online and heading straight to the car 🙌🏼

We love to see this sight 🙌🏼

Two ways to rent a stroller for your Disney World trip! Consider using a stroller at Disney even for your older kiddos!

✨ @kingdomstrollers is one of my go-tos for stroller rentals.

✨ If you’re using my private transportation recommendation, @wedriveyoufly they also offer stroller rentals, which makes it super convenient to have your transportation AND stroller handled in one place.

Even if your kiddo hasn’t used a stroller at home in years, Disney is a whole different ballgame. I’d rather have it and not need it than be carrying an exhausted kid through Magic Kingdom at the end of the night. 😂
