Marrakech is one of my favorite cities, and when we booked five days with a little one in tow, we needed to mix up our activities to include a few toddler-friendly adventures. Kaia brought her newest friend, a camel that she named Silky (?), along for the ride! Her first adventure after her third birthday — and the hair net really just adds that extra touch. 🤌🏼

Hard to believe we’re off on a six-week adventure beginning next week!

BOAT DAYS ARE THE BEST DAYS 🛥️

Why take a ferry from Skopelos to Skiathos when you can charter a boat and make a full day out of it?! When it makes sense (that’s a question of logistics & budget!), I often suggest this for @compassandvine clients connecting nearby islands. Our trip with @bluehorizon.boatrental reminded me how much fun these days can be. 😍

Lunch at a casual taverna on the beach complete with the requisite house wine, paddleboarding along hidden coves, and pulling into charming ports. 100/10 day!

UBUD 🌱

Green on green on green. Ubud’s terraces are one of those rare places that actually out-deliver the photos despite being such a go-to for visitors. Also, despite the constant onslaught of info about Bali suffering from over tourism (which I appreciate is very much a real issue around the world), we must have picked the right year — Ubud was such a pleasant surprise with so few visitors during our time there!

the most fun time celebrating @lavidashannon’s 21st birthday (see last slide!) it was a destination that’s been on my list for many years, and an unexpected surprise to finally check bali off in 2026 🥳

thanks to @lavidashannon & @kingkirch’s planning, we had the best time at @potatoheadbali (one of the most unique properties with the nicest staff ever!) enjoyed incredible indonesian cuisine & locally-flavored craft cocktails and toured the beautiful temples, waterfalls and cultural sights. oh, and SHOPPING! insane deals on everything from cheesy tank tops to “ray ban” sunglasses to purses to diy perfumes and evening in between. honestly, a reason to go to bali in and of itself!

an awesome time with amazing friends. so grateful! 🙏🏽

To my sweet husband who is patiently at home taking care of our little tornado of a toddler on HIS BIRTHDAY while I’m in Africa… HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the best husband and father; to the most patient and selfless dude around who always puts others first. The guy who makes juggling life as a dad, husband, hotelier, globetrotter, and personal chef (thank you) look effortless.

15 years together and this is the first birthday that I’ve missed — & the last! I am so sad to not be with you today to toast to the year ahead but so thankful for all the birthdays we’ve been able to spend together and the crazy moments that continue to define each year of our lives.

Cheers to the best day with family and friends — and know that I’m celebrating from afar. Gorilla trekking in Uganda. Not to rub it in. 😉
