Just had to clock off there for a while (apologies for the countless throwbacks) but sometimes you just need to prioritise rest - which for me is to disappear (typical Scorpio), go back home, and spend more time on the beach than on my phone. I’m still not sure I’ve had the necessary, complete re-set (she says, still in her pyjamas at 3pm during LFW… Anyone else’s baby of the sleeping-is-cheating genre?!) but the slower, quieter Kenyan days were definitely helpful.

Although I didn’t take many exciting new things to wear and share (to be honest, I love my summer wardrobe so much that I only occasionally add to it), this beautiful 100% hand-woven Khadi cotton dress from one of my absolute favourites, @kitani.studio, has firmly been added into the mix.

Hosting has become one of the unexpected joys of my job: bringing my friends, their networks and my community together to champion brilliant brands choosing to do things better. As someone who doesn’t even organise birthday celebrations because I’m so easily overwhelmed by the logistics, I’ve rather surprised myself by how much I now love organising even the tiny details for these events.

A little throwback to a brunch with @nudea.underwear at @binghamriverhouse this summer - two female-founded B Corps with ethics, sustainability and better choices at their heart. We gathered to celebrate Nudea’s gorgeous Seersucker Collection, crafted from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton (and now very much heatwave-tested and approved by me…)

A highlight was surprising my friend @ajabarber by revealing I’d ordered copies of her brilliant book, Consumed, for everyone at the brunch - which very generously turned into an impromptu signing. A special addition to the sustainable goody baskets 🤍

I think I might start a new series entitled ‘is it just me?!…..’

Is it just me or have we been invaded by cobwebs absolutely everywhere?!!

And does that mean an invasion of spiders?!!!……And don’t get me started on DUST!!!!

In other news the chimney sweep has been booked, and the logs have been delivered! Hashtag Autumn Ready!!! 🍂🍁

It’s been an emotional couple of weeks, but with so many lovely moments too and I don’t want to forget them ☀️

Ollie turned 11 🎈
And it feels like we’ve spent almost every moment outdoors with family and friends.
@wildernesshq festival was such a highlight, as was the huge field of sunflowers that bloomed for a week 🌻

I do always think that the UK is the best place to spend the summer holidays, but this year, with the non-stop sunshine it’s really been the place to be hasn’t it ❤️

Now just a few nights of overnight rain would do the trick wouldn’t it 😅🙏🏼
