POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hello friends. We are returning to the birthplace of our dance, of the root fire, of the circle of thanks, 23 years to the day when we first lit our sacred fire.

This will be a very intimate Forestdance Sacred Fire Circle Ceremonial Gathering, with a maximum of 36 people including our presenters & staff. .

This will be a humble and ecstatic offering, our 43rd of this kind.

On a personal note, it feels pretty amazing to be returning back to this land that lit the way towards a path of service and land stewardship. I traveled back in June with my daughter, and the magic is still there.

We will be joined by @gshvartsman , our herbalist, holding the root fire, and offering song,

@sarahseraphinehuber our head fire tender and song creator, @kj_creatrix, song carrier, cofounder of @cascadiasongrise, beauty activist and holder of the grief altar.

@ultmundane, our grounded teacher of Music in Service Around the Fire,

@godspells poet, in his strength, service and kindness,
and potentially by Afua and Erin, a couple dear sisters that were on the land when the vision for this gathering was first received.

We were there together with the dear & not forgotten Rob Jacoby.

Our intention thus far is to call those magical times back to the present, to lift each other’s voices up, to steep in reverence for the land, ourselves and one another, and to give back to the land in service. We will honor the seasons, the elements, and where we are in the cycles we are a part of.

Check the info on the flyer for more info. Forestdance at the Hostel in the Forest @officialhostelintheforest See you around the fire

Words from South Santiam River in the PNW about Forestdance, after attending the Well at Tidewater Falls with magical Beloveds: Forest Dance is an immersion into nature where we reconnect with a wider spectrum of life.

The fire circle ceremony focuses around a model, a design that sets a profound space for deep listening, connection, and empowered creativity

The ceremony creates an attunement within the group where the cocreated music, drumming, chanting and dancing sinks deeper and deeper over the three nights, opening parts of ourselves that welcomes beauty and subtlety in ways that we don’t usually have access to

It is a call to our wild spirits. As it is also the remembering that finding something worthy of serving can bring meaning that is healing.

It is an experiment that asks How many ways can we be in service to creativity and community during a five day healing ritual

Now is a very good time to circle together and build resilience in service to the natural world with devotion to creation

Our circle welcomes people of all loving traditions and faiths and welcomes atheists

Our circle welcomes people of all skin tones, gender identities and sexual preferences

Our chef and her crew work hard to honor dietary restrictions.

Our incredible location in the foothills of the Berkshires sits on over 400 acres with a 16 acre pond

Camp Timber Trails sits on unceded Pocumtuc and Mohican Land. Please reach out if this resonates Aug 19th-23rd

Let’s Sing! For the better world we know is possible. For the healing power of connection. For the fun and joy, grief and praise, funk and friction.

Come be nourished by the watery landscape, by community hearts and voices. Bring your love and longing, your strength and tenderness. Join us around the fire for as many hours as you can, we want you with us and you belong!

To make this gathering more accessible, we are extending an offer for abbreviated passes. We understand the challenges and obstacles at hand for so many folks these days.
Choose a day or a Saturday/Sunday overnight option. All meals are provided!

Bring your brave voice, your friends and family, and your open heart. Let the gentle land and compassionate village support you. Please grace us with the blessings of your authentic being🦋
