The expansive rear yard of this Wesley Heights residence will offer a private sanctuary for both relaxation and entertaining. A checkerboard patio provides an inviting space for al fresco dining, complemented by a fully equipped outdoor kitchen. Thoughtful planning for the addition of an optional customized swimming pool further elevates the property’s resort-like ambiance and creates an ideal setting for tranquil outdoor gatherings.

It’s certainly been a tough period for multi-family construction in the city, with new starts down and projects being put on hold. Yet, several of our clients see this as prime opportunity to plan for new work, particularly in neighborhoods with high walkability scores and access to amenities. Over the past few weeks, we have successfully led projects through several DOB Accelerated Plan Review meetings, thereby reducing risk and creating more accurate project delivery schedules. Key to this success is the strong partnerships within our client, rapid responses from our engineering design teams and the dedication of our own staff to meet tight resubmission deadlines.

Weekend construction site visit to this 32-unit boutique apartment building on #georgiaave. These smaller scale, well designed, by-right projects help to fill in the need for #affordablehousing in our region by taking advantage of the underlying zoning. This project has three #inclusionaryzoning housing units along with naturally occurring market rate affordable units close to many neighborhood amenities. Stay tuned for updates!

Construction shots from our addition to a former under utilized church building in #hilleastdc. We worked hard to retain the facade of this building to create eight #coliving apartments. Swipe right to see where it’s headed. @squareandlot
