First comp in the books 🥋🤍

First fight: I was super nervous, I didn’t know what to expect. 4 min in I’m losing by 16 points and I had none. With one minute left, I saw an opportunity and took it. Ended up winning by putting her in a triangle.

Second fight: First fight had me pumped up and full of adrenaline I was ready to step on the mat again. I went into this one confident and ready to win. I was less spazzy and more controlled in this fight. Ended up smothering her and winning this round as well.

Third fight: My head was definitely gassed up at this point, I had a good streak going. However, I was exhausted from giving the first two fights my all. It was a good fight we were back and forth the whole time. She ended up winning due to a few points.

Overall I’m glad I took the risk to go out there and preform instead of backing out because I was so nervous. This competition definitely taught me a lot. 1. Being you can never judge a book by its cover you never know how much someone can do until they do it, I needed to stay more grounded and balanced, and don’t let your wins blow up your ego anything can happen within those 5mins. In the end it’s really you vs you on those mats, controlling your body mind tempo, deciding on what to do next depending on what you’re facing.

I can’t thank my teammates @primatabjj enough for being such good training partners and @umagringadaflorida @paulo.bjj13 for being such great coaches that truly just want to see you win! 🥇

We were so stoked to be out at the seminar from @wardziak_bjj hosted by @rat_town_jiujitsu last weekend!
The instruction was incredible and we took away a lot of key details which we look forward to using on the mat.
It was absolutely a great experience and I would definitely catch his seminar the next time he is near you!
We look forward to seeing you guys all again and thank you again for having us. It was a valuable seminar with great rolls!

Congratulations to all our students who received promotions. We are so proud of all the hard work that you put in on the mats.

Jiu-jitsu is one of the hardest sports in the world and in order to progress you have to be willing to fail over and over again. This is difficult and not for the faint of heart. It is a sport that strengthens your mind as well as your body, and all of the work you put in is recognized through your promotions. it was a special day and we truly appreciate all of our friends who came out to support and roll with us.
God bless you all, and for our students, remember, no matter what, just don’t quit. Keep rolling until the belt turns black. It won’t be easy, but the best things in life never are.
Congratulations.
