LETS TALK ABOUT THE FOOD.
BECAUSE WOW. WOW. WOW.

All food was made by @knee_cole13 and she crushed it. Everything was so delicious. We planned meals together and holy shit did she bring it! Every meal had gf/df/meat and vegan options. She made 3 meals a day and wowed us every time.

And speaking of WOWing us… let’s talk about those table settings. @serena_actually brought the vibes!!! She’s a professional thrifter and got all the dishware and most of the decor second hand- which we LOVE. We got our flowers locally on the way out of town and she arranged them with the help of @kira.casey and every time I stepped into the cabin for a meal I was in awe of the beauty.

I had a vision for this retreat- and pretty damn high expectations. And these girls brought the vision to life and exceeded all my expectations! I could not have done it alone!

Update: This was actually just a prank, we are not actually engaged. If you dont think this was a funny joke, I don't care. She thought it was hilarious and thats all I care about. The prank had the desired effect and she's been receiving an overwhelming amount of calls and texts from estranged family members, old boyfriends, and jealous underwhelming sexual partners from the past. Thank you for your participation!

I'd like to officially announce the good news.
Last night i asked @knee_cole13 to marry me and she said YES!
stay tuned for wedding invites, I'm still floating on sunshine.

Our newest ritual? A Little Rituals matcha. 🍵

Little Rituals is one of the newest additions to downtown Anchorage, serving thoughtfully crafted coffee and matcha alongside the beloved bagel creations from @907bagelco.

Getting the opportunity to be creative and build a custom library of photo and video content for them has been incredibly special, especially because the owners are two genuinely wonderful people.

Trust us, the next time you’re downtown, you need a bagel and a matcha! Matcha latte in hand

Nicole joins the 100 CLUB!!!!
8 years ago I was shadowing her as a bartender at Brownbag 😂 and now she’s moving in next door with @littlerituals.ak and apart of our October retreat!
Rarely do people have the vision AND drive to execute it. And she does and I am always impressed by her and feel inspired and supported in her presence. She’s just that kind of friend and I’m so excited for our future as neighbors.

100 class reflection in her own words:

“I don’t remember what inspired me to go to my first class - but I remember seeing posts of the B&B community and wishing I was a part of it. It can be hard to find a like minded community up here but I just knew these were my people. It really just took booking that first class and showing up.
I struggled pretty much that entire first class and questioned why I was there. But after leaning in, really leaning in, something magical started to happen. I started communicating with my self not as a critic but as a cheerleader. I started to feel empowered through movement, and became so in love with what my body could do and how this practice made me feel day after day. Those little rituals of self love started to add up and it changed my attitude towards life. AlisaMarie is a force of nature and has cultivated the most beautiful community. If you haven’t been yet.. book the class and enjoy the ride! “

I spent Thanksgiving day looking back at 2023 - arguably my favorite @showdownalaska year. This reel was 9 minutes long after I decided on the things I needed to include, so these are the real real real highlights.
