Expectations book trend!📖

Here are books that met my expectation, exceeded my expectations, failed to meet my expectations, and that I am very hopeful will meet my expectations! 💟 This trend is so cute and I have to thank @books.nookie for doing it! I’ve taken a couple friends but feel free to re-create!💜

#bookish #booklover #booksta #bookstagram #expectations

Ai disclaimer‼️: I do not use generative AI on any of my posts. If Instagram gives me an AI tag, it is because I use Canva to edit my posts. I do not condone the use of generative AI❕

I was very glad that heated rivalry lived up to my expectations after seeing the show, same with the cruel prince and if it makes you happy because so many people had recommended them to me! Come out come out with a really fun read and I enjoyed it, same with not in love.

All of these books blew me away, but Alchemised specifically is so much better than I could’ve imagined. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I actually enjoyed Quicksilver given it’s bad reputation, and caught up took me completely off guard but I love it. The watermark is a book that I would highly highly recommend to anybody who loves magical realism, I read it in about two days after reading the back and I thought it was amazing.

Deep end was really letdown for me because I was hoping for a truly kinky book and instead I got vanilla fifty shades kinky- but I did enjoy the characters. Our strange duets- omg SUCH a letdown, why is this book YA???? and why is it literally not different from the original story in anyway? I do blame the marketing for for this one because I think I went into it thinking it was something completely different, but the narrative around it is very misleading.

The irresistible urge is not bad and I did like it, it just didn’t quite enthrall me like some of the other adaptions did I fear. And all I want and just one bite are terrible books lol

I am really excited for all of these, but I have very high hopes that I will like tour season and yesteryear!! Lmk if you’ve read any of these and what you think!

So for some reason I thought my bookstaversary was the 25th, but it was actually yesterday 🫣 OOPS 😅 Regardless, I’m celebrating one year of being part of this lovely community 🥰🫶🏻

I’ve had so much fun yapping with you guys and discovering new books through all of you 🤭

My 1st buddy reads!!

@knightlyarchives and I had a juicy debrief over Holly by @authoradalyngrace at the end of last year & many theories were discussed 👀 (hoping for a prequel to come our way 🤞🏼)

Scavenger Hunt Tag!🔍✨

Thank you so much for tagging me @whatrileysreading!!🫶🏻 I tagged some people but if you see this you’re tagged too!!☺️

Some were a little harder to find but I had fun going through my book shelves! For a few of them it was hard to pick one book since I had 2-5 books that fit the description!😅(especially for the movie one!)

I hope everyone’s having a great weekend so far!!💕

QOTD: Have you read a book (or multiple) that fits in any of the categories?✨

Do you have a favourite book that has been recommended by a friend? Well in any case, let me give you aaaall these incredible recs from my bookish friends 🙂‍↕️

I’m very late at posting this (forgive me my friends I asked you for these recs a month ago 🙈) but I had so much fun doing it! First because I think our favourite books can tell a story about ourselves, so in a way I got to know these amazing persons better, and then because I ended checking up on all these recs so yes my tbr is definitely longer now 🫠

To new stories and to new friends 🥂💚

🧡ℙ𝕦𝕞𝕡𝕜𝕚𝕟 𝕤𝕡𝕚𝕔𝕖 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕖𝕟𝕘𝕖🧡

Thank you to @laurensbooksandthings for tagging me! I’ve tagged a couple of friends, but feel free to join in!🫶

𝒫𝓊𝓂𝓅𝓀𝒾𝓃 𝓈𝓅𝒾𝒸𝑒 𝓁𝒶𝓉𝓉𝑒- a hyped book you love 🤎Babel- R.F Kuang🤎

𝒮𝒶𝓁𝓉𝑒𝒹 𝒸𝒶𝓇𝒶𝓂𝑒𝓁- a sweet book with unexpected depth 🤎 Not In Love- Ali Hazelwood🤎

𝒞𝒾𝓃𝓃𝒶𝓂𝑜𝓃 𝓇𝑜𝓁𝓁- a soft, lovable main character 🤎Cami from Final Offer by Lauren Asher🤎

𝑀𝒶𝓅𝓁𝑒 𝓈𝓎𝓇𝓊𝓅- a book set in a small town 🤎If It Makes You Happy by Julie Olivia🤎

𝒩𝓊𝓉𝓂𝑒𝑔- a book with a surprising twist 🤎The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose🤎

I included If It Makes You Happy because it’s the perfect book for this challenge, but I haven’t actually finished it yet! I’m actually struggling with it a bit simply because I’m such an introvert and the idea of living in that town sounds like my personal hell😵‍💫😂

Have you read If It Makes You Happy? And are you more of an introvert or an extrovert?🫶
